The starting point of the Shenzhen torch relay is the Civic Center, and the end point is the Shenzhen Stadium, with a total length of about 40 kilometers. The torch will pass some landmark buildings, famous scenic spots and places where the beautiful scenery of Shenzhen can be displayed, such as the landmark sculpture of Shenzhen's reform and opening up, the pioneer cow, the window of the world, the mangrove nature reserve, the Wang Di Tower and the portrait of Deng Xiaoping. Shenzhen once considered skateboarding and cycling to pass the torch, but for safety reasons, running is the only way to pass the torch in Guangdong Province. But on May 8th, the people of Shenzhen will still create the best atmosphere for the torch relay. During the torch relay, they will set up four or five welcome spots along the way, wrestling with bumper harvest yangko and ringing magnificent gongs and drums.

The 208 torchbearers selected by Shenzhen include physical education teachers, sanitation workers, community security guards, government civil servants, enterprise managers and foreigners working in Shenzhen. The first torchbearer was Liang Daoxing, vice mayor of Shenzhen, and the last torchbearer was Wang, coach of Shenzhen sports team.
