What is the architectural layout of Beijing Gan Long Garden?

The first entrance of Gan Long Garden is from the main entrance of the garden and Yanqi Gate to Gu Hua Xuan. There are mainly Gu Hua Xuan, Terrace, Appreciation Pavilion, Xuhui Pavilion, Xiefang Pavilion, Moment Pavilion and Yizhai Building.

Gu Hua Xuan is the main building of quadrangles. It is located in the middle of the north. It is an open porch with five intermittent mountains and sheds and corridors around it. There are upside-down lintels and railings between eaves columns, and lanterns are placed between gold columns.

The porch is the natural ceiling of nanmu, carved with hundreds of flowers, which is very simple and elegant. There is an old catalpa tree in front of the eaves, which is an old relic before the porch was built. Every spring and summer, the trees are all bright, so the Xuan is named Gu Hua.

There is a load-bearing terrace surrounded by white stone railings on the main peak of Huguang Stone Stack on the east side of Gu Hua Xuan. There is a door between the rocks under the platform, and there are stone steps in the north of the cave to climb the stage.

The pavilion was built in 1772. It sits in the west and east, on the Sumitomo platform. Three rooms wide, three rooms deep, Bao Xia protruding forward. It has a roof built on three sides by a mountain, a glazed tile ceiling with four corners in the middle, yellow glazed tiles and green edges, and Soviet-style colored paintings under the eaves. There is a black painted Yunlong screen door behind the Ming room, which blocks the high wall behind the pavilion and has the feeling that the garden extends westward. There is a veranda on the north side connecting Xuhui Garden.

Baoen Pavilion is a 27-meter-long canal dug with stones on the inner surface of Baoxia. It is called "Nine Bends and Eighteen Bends", which means "Liubei Canal". The canal water comes from the well behind the rockery on the south side of the pavilion, is pumped into the tank and flows into the canal through the culvert in the rockery.

The interior and exterior decoration of the pavilion is decorated with bamboo patterns, which symbolizes the environment of "Maolin Xiuzhu" during the renovation of Wang Xizhi's Lanting, and just sets off the theme of the building. There are stone steps with garden interest in front of the pavilion, and a white marble fence engraved with bamboo patterns is surrounded by the eaves of the pavilion, rendering an elegant and leisurely artistic conception.

The stone in the north of Tingbei Mountain rises gradually, and there are three bays, a roll shed and a rest hill building on the top. Because it sits west facing east and faces the sunrise, it is named Xuhui Pavilion. The south porch of the court falls and meets the pavilion.

Xie Fangting is located in the southeast corner of the first courtyard. Zhai Yi is in the north and Zhai Yi is in the west. It is connected by a veranda, extending to the west and turning to the south, forming a small courtyard, which is self-contained. A pavilion called Moment Pavilion was built at the corner of the veranda.

Xie Fangting is made of Shan Ye stone, which is higher than the city wall. Standing in the pavilion, you can overlook the scenery inside and outside the courtyard. The pavilion is a pyramid roof with green glazed tiles and yellow glazed tiles with eaves and ridges. The eaves are decorated with upside-down lintels, and An Baishi sits on the railing of the stool. There is a path on the Rocky Mountain, winding up to the Xie Fang Pavilion.

After the completion of the Xie Fang Pavilion, an instant pavilion was built. The pavilion is square, from west to east, with green edges and yellow glazed tile roofs at four corners. The eaves are decorated with Soviet-style colored paintings. The south, north and east sides of the pavilion are connected with the veranda, reaching Yanqi Gate in the south, terrace in the north and Zhaitang in the east.

It is a hard-mountain-style rolling shed roof, covered with green glazed tiles with edges, and decorated with Soviet-style color paintings under the front and rear verandahs. Open the door back and forth, the door is misplaced, and the door is separated step by step. The rest are sill windows and glass drawer windows. Inside is a small Buddhist temple with niches embedded in the partition. In the east, there is a door that can secretly enter the temple that nourishes nature.

From Gu Hua Xuan to the north, through the hanging flower gate, is the second entrance of Gan Long Garden. The main building of the Second Hospital of Ganlongyuan is Suichutang, with five bays, a front porch and a back porch, and a rest shed at the top of the mountain, which runs north and south.

The left and right corner corridors are connected with the front corridors of the east and west rooms, with five rooms in each room, three bright corridors in the north and two dark corridors in the south, and the door opens in the middle of the north room. The exit corridor at the southern end of the matching room is connected with the inverted veranda on both sides of the hanging flower door. The corridors and rooms alternate with each other to form a neat courtyard.

Therefore, the north of Chutangtang is the third courtyard in the garden, which is dominated by mountain views. The central peaks of the courtyard overlap, the caves and valleys are connected, and the building is built on the mountain, which is somewhat congested in the deep and spacious. There is a pavilion on the main peak called Songxiu Pavilion. Qu Yan Building is in the north, and Sanyouxuan is in the southeast.

The plane of Songxiu Pavilion is square, with a tapered roof at four corners. Yellow glazed tiles decorate the eaves and ridges, and the rest are paved with green glazed tiles. The eaves are decorated with upside-down lintels, and there are bench railings below. Under the pavilion, there are cliffs and deep caves and valleys.

Boarding the pavilion can overlook the scenery inside and outside the park, which is a good scenic spot. At the same time, the pavilion is an important landscape in the park because of its prominent position, simple form and exquisite shape.

Covering the roof of the shed, the eaves and ridges are decorated with yellow glazed tiles, and the rest are paved with green glazed tiles. There are 5 animals on the corner of the roof. The beams under the eaves are decorated with Soviet-style colored paintings.

There are corridors in the east, south and north of Qu Yan Building. An upside-down lintel was installed on the veranda, and a railing was set under it. Doors and windows are installed in the corridor to separate the indoor and outdoor space. The upper parts of doors and windows are all spliced into a stepped brocade form, which is simple and elegant.

The interior decoration is decorated with all kinds of exquisite porcelain pieces, which is simple and elegant without losing royal bearing.

When Qu Yan Building was first built, there was an overpass from the upstairs to the top of the stone peak in the yard. Later, when Emperor Jiaqing was renovating, the overpass was demolished.

Sanyouxuan, facing south, is a three-bay Xiao Xuan. Built in 1774. Sanyouxuan has a yellow glazed tile roof, hard mountains in the east, rest mountains in the west and corridors on three sides. This is a unique roof structure in the palace by skillfully using the terrain.

There are four Xuan Ming rooms, two of which are doors in the middle, and the plaque of "Three Friends Xuan" is hung under the eaves, and lanterns are played twice. The pavilion is decorated with three friends of pine, bamboo and plum. What is particularly striking is the transparent carved round mask of red sandalwood, and the bamboo leaves are inlaid with jade pieces, which are ingenious in conception.

In the east, there are three windows, which face the Le Shoutang. The back eaves are all supporting windows, and the windows are rockeries. The west wall of Xizifang opens the window, with patterns of red sandalwood, pine, bamboo and plum as the window lattice, which is dense and finely carved. Through the west window, you can enjoy the exquisite rockery and green bamboo forest outside the window.

The decorative theme of Sanyou Xuan is unified with the plants outside the Xuan, echoing both inside and outside, highlighting the architectural theme.

It is the fourth courtyard of the garden, Fuwang Pavilion is its main building, and Robi Pavilion is located on the main peak of Qianshanping. There is a building in the southwest of Shanping, which is similar to a ruler. There are three in the east and five in the north and south. The plaque downstairs is entitled "Nourishing the Essence House". There is a winding corridor in the east of Fuwangge, the Yihexuan waist corridor in the east and the Yucuixuan at the top of Sanwan Mountain in the west.

Fuwang Pavilion is the main building of the fourth courtyard, and its shape imitates the Yanchun Pavilion in Fu Jian Palace Garden. Fuwang Pavilion is five rooms wide and deep, surrounded by cloisters, with two external floors and three internal floors, a pyramid-shaped roof with four corners, blue glazed tile eaves and ridges, and the rest covered with yellow glazed tiles. It is the tallest building in Gan Long Garden.

The interior decoration of Fuwangge is quite distinctive, and various types of decoration cleverly separate the space. When you cross the threshold, you often get lost, so it is called "losing the building". The interior decoration is beautifully made, decorated with gold, jade and enamel, dazzling and beautiful.

During the Qianlong period, on the 21st day of the twelfth lunar month, the emperor would entertain princes and ministers here. Emperor Jiaqing also boarded this pavilion, and there is a poem called Fu Ting Fu. Fuwangge is the tallest building in Ningshou Palace Garden. You can see the beautiful scenery inside and outside the Forbidden City when you board it.

Robbie Pavilion is also called Robbie Plum Blossom Pavilion because it is shaped like a plum blossom and its components are decorated with plum blossom patterns. The pavilion is plum blossom-shaped, with five petals, five columns and five ridges, and a pyramid-shaped roof with double eaves. The upper layer is paved with emerald glazed tile, and the lower layer is paved with malachite glazed tile. The upper and lower floors are inlaid with amethyst glazed tiles, and the upper floor is filled with Bai Bing Mable coat with a blue waist and a blue background. Each floor has five vertical ridges, divided into five slopes, which also means imitating Mei.

Various plum blossom patterns are carved on the arc-shaped white stone fence between the pillars in the pavilion, and the upside-down lintels carved with plum blossom patterns are installed under the eaves of the pillars, and the ceiling in the pavilion is a ceiling with exquisite plum blossom patterns. The color paintings on the upper and lower eaves are all Soviet-style color paintings, dotted with golden and colorful branches and plum blossom patterns. There is a "Robbie" monument under the eaves in front of the pavilion, a stone bridge in the south of the pavilion leads to the second floor, and stone steps in the east and west lead down the mountain.

Robbie Pavilion is a rare pavilion building with unique shape, rich colors and harmony.

Jade Cuixuan leans against the palace wall in the west and Fuwang Pavilion in the east. It was built in imitation of Ninghui Hall in Fu Jian Garden.

There are three halls, and the front is out of the corridor. The roof of the shed is paved with Xie Mountain, the eaves and ridges are decorated with green glazed tiles, and the rest are paved with yellow glazed tiles. The entrance is divided into three rooms, which are called leisure rooms in the south and Buddhist temples in the north. There is a passage in the room leading to Zhuxiangtang in the north.

There is a short wall covered with colored stones in the southeast of the front porch, and the north side is connected with Fuwang Pavilion by the veranda east, which divides the front of Jade Cuixuan into an integrated small courtyard. Xuannan is connected with Rocky Mountain, and there is a trail to the top of the mountain.

To the north of Fuwangge is the last courtyard of the garden, and the main building in the courtyard is diligent Zhai. There is a cross courtyard on the west side of the fifth hospital, and there are four in the north, that is, Leizhai West.

On the bow-shaped low wall between the north and the south, there is a doorway extending in all directions, with stained glass leakage windows on the left and right sides of the door, and the word "cold blue" is engraved in front of the door. Trees are planted in Bafangmen Mountain, and there is a bamboo incense hall on the mountain, which is very exquisite.

There are climbing verandahs on the left and right, descending from north to south along the mountain, passing through Leiqinzhai and Nantong Yucuixuan North Corridor in the north, which divides this small courtyard very appropriately and decorates it with great interest.

Leizhai was built in imitation of Jingsheng Zhai in Fu Jian Palace. Lai Zhai sits facing south, 9 rooms wide, covered with green glazed tiles and inlaid with yellow glazed tiles. Go out of the corridor before, and draw Soviet-style color paintings under the eaves.

The East Five Rooms are opposite to Fuwang Pavilion, and the east and west are connected by verandahs, and the rooms are opposite, forming a closed courtyard, naturally forming the pattern of the East Five Rooms and the West Four Rooms.

All five rooms in the east are open, and the rest are window-picking step by step. There is a plaque of "tired and diligent" hanging under the eaves of the Ming room. The interior ceil is covered with a ceiling with a volume pattern. A concave fairy building was built from the east front cornice column in the east room to the west front cornice column in the west room. Several small rooms were separated by gauze cabinets, and there were many throne beds.

The fairy house is hung with bamboo eaves, with the word "swastika" on the brocade bottom, inlaid with jade, white deer skirt and Shuang Mianxiu partition. Exquisitely decorated, it is the exquisite decoration of the eaves during the Qianlong period. There is a passage between China and the West.

West Room 4, the ceiling is decorated with bamboo vines and sea flowers, surrounded by bamboo fences, cranes dance in the pavilion, magpies play and compete with Wei Zi, which makes people feel like they are in the natural beauty, but it is actually a landscape painting in the decoration room.

This painting was made by court painters Lang Shining and Wang Huanxue during the Qianlong period. It was pasted on the indoor wall, sweeping away the solemn and monotonous feeling of the red, red and pepper wall.

There is a painted bamboo circular lampshade carved by nanmu in the south, which corresponds to the painted bamboo fence circular lampshade pasted on the north wall. There is a pavilion on the west side, sitting west and facing east. The pavilion is made of wood-like bamboo, also called bamboo pavilion.

The bamboo pavilion is a four-corner spire covered with a golden wooden treasure top. There is a wooden bamboo sandwich fence on the south and back of the pavilion. Doors are set on both sides of the back eaves for the upper and lower stages. This is a tired Zhai Qin's small stage, which was built for Qin Shihuang to watch a play indoors. There is also a fairy building in front of the pavilion, facing west, with an upper and lower throne bed in the middle, which is used for watching plays. During the Qianlong period, eunuchs in Fu Nan often sang here.

Before lent, it was divided into a square and elegant courtyard by the east and west verandahs. The cypress trees in the courtyard stand upright, and there are cross-brick walkways, so you can March. There are four curved walls in the west and eight doors in the middle, which lead to the bamboo pavilion.

On the whole, the whole garden, the skill of choosing stones and overlapping mountains, the artistic image and arrangement of flowers and trees, and the rich cultural connotation are all immortal works of the royal garden, which are exquisite and incomparable. The whole garden not only has the exquisite style of private gardens, but also complements the luxurious atmosphere of the palace, which is precious.
