Wu Jie School Qingzhou East Ding Cun

This is my second visit to Ding Dong Village. The apricot flowers at the foot of the mountain have already withered in mid-April. Knowing that Ding Dong Village has a high altitude and a low temperature, I want to take a chance.

Ding Dong Village is located in Miao Zi Town, Qingzhou City, Shandong Province, with an altitude of 814m. It is the highest elevation village in Shandong folklore.

The name of this village comes from two places. The so-called "cave" refers to Zhaoyang Cave in the middle of Tanxi Mountain Scenic Area, which is the cave where Prince Zhaoyang practiced and studied in Ming Dynasty. The so-called "top" refers to a nearby mountain top, that is, "Huangguzi Top". Rumor has it that Prince Zhaoyang's aunt was worried that her nephew was studying alone in the cave, so she accompanied him to the top of the mountain. This village is located above the "cave" and below the "roof", hence the name Ding Dong Village. Another way of saying this is that this village is located at the top of Zhaoyang Cave, so it is called Ding Dong Village.

It is not easy to reach Ding Dong village. Follow the navigation. Starting from Yangji, the mountain road narrows. Sometimes, cars drive in canyons, and there are high and steep peaks on both sides of the path. If a car comes head-on, it will scare people into a cold sweat.

After carefully crossing the canyon, we started the eighteen bends of the mountain road, and Panshan Road circled upwards. The scenery along the way is very beautiful. Sometimes we see a flowering apricot tree in the mountains, and the branches and leaves of persimmon trees have not yet begun to grow. Sometimes some magpies stay on the crooked black branches.

Finally, I arrived at a relatively flat clearing on the hillside and stopped my car. Standing on the hillside overlooking the road, under the winding mountain road is an unknown mountain village, backed by mountains. There are many apricot trees in the village, surrounded by red-topped apricot flowers. The mountain village in the sun is like a paradise.

The car continued to spiral upwards, and I didn't meet a car or a person along the way. This lonely mountain is particularly quiet.

Ding Dong Village belongs to Qingzhou City, Shandong Province, and the southwest of the village is adjacent to Tanxi Mountain Scenic Area in Zibo City, Shandong Province. Below the hillside in the southwest of the village are cliffs, and many strange peaks and rocks stand tall. Standing on the hillside overlooking, there are rolling mountains in the south and beautiful Tanxi Mountain scenic area at the foot. The Panshan Road in the scenic spot is clearly distinguishable.

Surprisingly, apricot blossoms have just opened in the high-altitude village of Ding Dong, and many wild apricot trees have grown in the village and on the hillside. Especially on the edge of the ridge on the southwest hillside of the village, there are about dozens of huge apricot trees. Untrimmed wild apricot trees are tall and loose, and pink apricot trees bloom in the sun against the spring breeze.

Ding Dong Village is located in a remote place. Like most mountain villages, it has become a hollow village. Walking in the village, I hardly met a villager. Most houses in the village are built with local materials and stones. There was a hostess in the village east who happened to be at home, so I chatted with her. She said that her family used to work in the city, but now she lives in the village. Sometimes cooking for tourists, you can stay at her house. I asked her for her phone number, thinking that I could come to Ding Dong Village to see the scenery and stay at her house in the future. Unfortunately, when I got home, I found that the phone number she gave me was missing a number.

Tip: There are no tickets for Ding Dong Village. Ding Dong Village, where apricot blossoms bloom in spring, is very beautiful. The mountain road you go to is not easy to walk. Be safe.

In summer, it is suitable to go to Ding Dong Village for summer vacation, and there is also a farmhouse music in the village.
