Residents' domestic waste must be classified, and the Regulations on the Management of Domestic Waste will be formulated and implemented one after another throughout the country. I think it should be a fashion for citizens to consciously sort garbage, and it needs to be a strict rule for individuals to fulfill their civic obligations and abide by the law.

There are strict regulations on garbage classification abroad: for example, in London, England, people who do not classify garbage according to regulations will violate the Environmental Protection Law. The authorities will impose a fine of 50,000 pounds or even be prosecuted and imprisoned. China's garbage classification must also be brought into the legal management track. Otherwise, there will only be persuasion, not coercion. This kind of soft constraint usually has no effect on changing residents' bad living habits. We must seek change through the coercive force of law.

Many western countries will make strict distinctions and restrictions on garbage classification. For example, in Sacramento, the United States, in addition to recyclable, non-recyclable, crushed and directly discharged garbage, there will be special garbage bins to collect trimmed grass and deciduous branches. At present, there are still many cities in China that classify garbage, but many cleaners will dump the classified garbage again in the process of cleaning and transportation. This also violates the original intention of garbage sorting.

The garbage classification in China needs to be further refined. In many communities in Helsinki, Finland, there are at least seven kinds of trash cans. Classify all kinds of paper products, all kinds of commercial plastic packaging, metal aluminum products, degradable organic garbage, unclassified harmless garbage and other garbage in detail. And local residents also agree with this classification.
