Weihai No.2 Middle School is a key high school directly under Weihai Education Bureau. Founded in 1926, its school history can be traced back to 189 1 the armament school founded by Beiyang Navy in Qing Dynasty. On 1954, it was officially named as Weihai No.2 Middle School in Shandong Province with the approval of Shandong Provincial People's Government.

The original site of Weihai No.2 Middle School is now the North Campus of Weihai No.2 Middle School. In 2004, Weihai No.2 Middle School merged with the original Weihai No.3 Middle School, and after the merger, it was divided into two campuses: North and South. The school covers an area of133,853 square meters, with a building area of 89,989 square meters.
