Can you buy a house after the house price in Xichang, China plummets?

Xichang's house price is less likely to plummet, and it may fall, but it is unlikely to plummet, at least not like the first, second and third tier cities.

First, because Liangshan has jurisdiction over 17 counties and cities, and the total resident population is close to 5 million, the residential real estate development in Xichang is very few compared with other cities. The urban planning of Xichang is equivalent to the scale of 400,000-500,000 people in other cities at most, which means that there are few houses developed by purely commercial real estate in Xichang. To be clear, there are many people but few houses. The fundamental reason for this phenomenon is that Liangshan area is relatively backward and people's income is relatively low. However, since 2000, the income of people in counties under the jurisdiction of Liangshan has also increased steadily, and these people have gradually become potential customers of Xichang Volkswagen Real Estate Development Company.

Reason 2: In Liangshan 17 counties and cities, except Xichang, almost all other counties and cities have relatively poor economic development level and relatively backward infrastructure construction. Among them, except Huili, Ningnan and Xichang, the other 14 counties are all state-level poverty-stricken counties. Moreover, even if poverty-stricken counties such as Huili and Ningnan are not included, the infrastructure is very imperfect. Except for the relatively high average income of the people in the two counties, other convenient conditions such as infrastructure, transportation, public security and education are almost the same as those in Leibo, Zhaojue and Butuo counties. Many middle-class people living in county towns want a higher standard of living and a higher level of education for their children. However, due to work or career reasons, they could not leave Liangshan and had to choose Xichang. Therefore, buying a house in Xichang has become a rigid demand of these people.

Reason 3: Xichang is basically the best climate in many cities in Liangshan, and there is no one. The unique gas repair conditions and tourism resources are also one of the reasons why Xichang's housing prices cannot fall explosively. Although it used to belong to backward ethnic minority areas, after the reform and opening up, Xichang's traffic, public security, infrastructure and education have all been greatly improved, almost as good as or even better than other prefecture-level cities in Sichuan Province.
