The Manor History of Annaberg Manor

1963, walter annenberg, an American publishing magnate, diplomat and philanthropist, chose to build a holiday manor-Annaberg Manor in the desert of Rancho Milla, California. After the completion of the manor, the couple turned the manor into a "place for private meetings and vacations of internationally influential people", and many American presidents and foreign heads of government have visited this place. 1990, Rancho Mielack recognized the manor as a historic building. Annaberg Manor was built in 1963 and designed by Professor Quincy Jones of the University of Southern California. Nixon, the 37th president of the United States, completed 1974 State of the Union address here. After Nixon resigned due to Watergate, he was pardoned and reopened by Gerald Ford, the 38th president who lived at Annaberg Manor at that time. Ford and his wife Betty also often go to Annaberg Manor. The 40th President Reagan and his wife Nancy are also frequent visitors to the manor. 1990, the 4th1President George ·H·W· Bush met with Junshu Haibei, then Japanese Prime Minister, and held a state banquet here.

Before Mrs. Annaberg's death in 2009, 15 acre (about 0.06 1 square kilometer) adjacent to the manor was designated as a tourist center, and the garden and 1600 square meter building were built and opened to the public.
