Classification of high voltage electricians

The classification of electricians can be described as varied, including high-voltage electricians, low-voltage electricians and special electricians according to the nature of voltage, and power supply enterprises are divided into back-office electricians and on-site electricians according to the working place. Backstage electricians include shift workers, relay protection workers, electrical testers and electricians who install meters. Field electricians are also called line electricians, including transmission line electricians, distribution line electricians and power cable electricians.

High-voltage electricians are related personnel engaged in the field of power systems with voltage levels above 1kV. If the low-voltage electrician is aimed at the installation and maintenance of various electrical appliances that people use daily, then the high-voltage electrician is mainly aimed at the high-voltage duty and operation and maintenance of power generation, transmission, substation and distribution, such as line equipment inspection and switching operation.

Definition of high voltage electrician certificate

Personnel engaged in special types of work must be familiar with the corresponding safety knowledge and skills of special types of work to prevent all kinds of accidents. Employees are required to hold relevant certificates (IC cards), that is, the People's Republic of China (PRC) Special Operation Certificate issued by the State Administration of Work Safety. This certificate is used nationwide.

The old certificate is reviewed every 2 years, and the new certificate for special operation of high-voltage electrician is reviewed every 3 years 1 time. High-voltage electricians with certificates generally have two certificates: IC card for high-voltage electricians, operation certificate for special operators and professional qualification certificate for electricians.
