Replacement standard of ashtray in box

General rule: When there are two cigarette butts in a guest's ashtray, they should be replaced, no more than three at most.

When changing ashtrays, we should abide by the principle of "two for one", that is, replace an ashtray with cigarette butts with two clean ashtrays.

The specific service method is as follows: put two clean and undamaged ashtrays in the tray, ask the guests if they can replace the ashtrays, pick up a new ashtray with their right hand after getting permission from the guests, and cover it with cigarette butts.

Then grab the ashtray with cigarette butts under it, put the two ashtrays on the tray together, then pick up another new ashtray and gently put it on the guest's table, turn around and leave, and the whole service is completed.

In some places, "one for one" is adopted, that is, after the new ashtray covering the dirty ashtray is taken out of the tray, the new ashtray covered on it is placed on the guest's desk. However, there is a disadvantage: the ash itself is very light, and when the new ashtray covered on it is removed, it is likely to pick up the ash from the ashtray below, causing guests' displeasure.

That's why we should insist on "one out of two" instead of "one out of one". When the ashtray is removed and taken backstage, you should first pour some water into the ashtray to ensure that the cigarette ends are completely extinguished before dumping, otherwise it will easily lead to a fire.
