Chizhou Xiushan gate

Xiushanmen Museum is a regional historical and cultural museum with the theme of displaying wood carving, stone carving, brick carving and Zhaoming culture. It reflects people's living environment, aesthetic taste and moral education at that time from one side. * * * More than 3,700 pieces of various cultural relics, including 1 1 piece of second-class cultural relics. The exhibition design of the whole museum is: the ancient rhyme of Shicheng on the first floor; The legacy of Qiupu on the second floor; Chiyang Shengjing on the third floor; Jixian Hall on the fourth floor; The fifth floor of Wenxuan Building.

Chizhou is an ancient cultural city with thousands of years' history. Xiushanmen is the west gate of ancient Chizhou city. In the second year of Song Duanping (AD 1235), Wang Boda, the magistrate of Chizhou, changed Qiupu Gate to Xiushan Gate in memory of Prince Liang Zhaoming, which has been in use ever since.

In the Ming Dynasty, there were seven doors in Chizhou City, all of which had buildings, and there was a moon city guard outside Xiushan. For defense, there is a police shop on the rostrum.

Until the eve of liberation, Xiushan Gate Tower was still well preserved and destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. Xiushanmen was rebuilt in 2002 by Mr. Luo of Chizhou Oriental Real Estate Comprehensive Development Co., Ltd. on the basis of Xiushanmen site. The whole project covers an area of 1952 square meters, with five floors and three doorways, which has become an important symbol of Chizhou's historical and cultural city.
