Who will be responsible for the freezing of the water meter after the renovation of the new house

According to Article 51 of the Property Management Regulations, water supply, power supply, gas supply, heating, communication, cable TV and other units shall be responsible for the maintenance and conservation of relevant pipelines and facilities within the property management area according to law. If the units specified in the preceding paragraph temporarily occupy or dig roads and sites due to maintenance, they shall promptly restore the original state.

Within the property management area, water supply, power supply, gas supply, heating, communication, cable TV and other units shall charge relevant fees to the end users. Where a realty service enterprise accepts the entrustment to collect the fees mentioned in the preceding paragraph, it shall not collect additional fees such as handling fees from the owners.

Relevant requirements for water meter maintenance:

1. Urban water supply enterprises shall regularly inspect and maintain urban water supply facilities such as special reservoirs, water diversion channels, water intakes, water sources, wells, pumping stations, water plants, pipelines, gates, fire hydrants, water meters and public water stations to ensure safe water supply.

2. It is forbidden to build any buildings, structures, pile up materials or engage in other activities that endanger water supply facilities within the safety protection distance specified on the surface and underground of urban water supply pipelines and their ancillary facilities.
