Shenzhen Nanshan Science Park was invested and constructed in 20001year with a total investment of 6 billion yuan. The park covers an area of 706,000 square meters with a building area of 3 million square meters. It is a national university science park integrating market-oriented research and development, high-tech enterprise incubation and innovative talent absorption and training.

In 2003, it was awarded the title of "National University Science Park" by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education in Shenzhen.
