In the mid-1960s, the goldfish pond was filled up and a number of simple buildings were built, which improved the living conditions. In April last year, in view of the urgent need for renovation of these simple buildings, Beijing launched the largest simple building renovation project of Jinyuchi in the city. In the renovation project of Jinyuchi, Beijing implemented the method of "rebuilding the house", that is, using the housing reform policy to promote the rebuilding. The government has invested heavily in roads and municipal services. Residents use the housing reform policy to buy new houses within the specified area, and use the affordable housing policy to buy the parts beyond the specified area, so that they can own a new house at a low price in the city center. According to reports, today, the first batch of 160 relocated households got the keys to their new houses, and the remaining 1400 relocated households will also get the keys in the near future. The renovation project of Jinyuchi is one of the 60 practical projects proposed by the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for the citizens last year. Jinyuchi community has an elegant environment, including 42 residential buildings and a comprehensive school, with a total construction area of nearly 300,000 square meters. The pool water will naturally flow through a stream by taking advantage of the characteristics of high in the north and low in the south. A "Jinyuchi Cultural Street" will also be built in the community, and 28 characters from "Longxugou" will appear on the promenade of the community.
