At present, there are two schools in the industry about how to do AVP, namely "changing cars" and "changing garages". Domestic independent brands are mostly "car-changing", and their AVP system suppliers are mainly domestic start-up companies, such as Mu Zong Science and Technology and Shi Yu Science and Technology. The purpose of changing the car school is to pursue "the intelligence of the car", that is, to realize AVP without transforming the basement. The car modification scheme has three advantages:

First, it can better control the cost-the cost of rebuilding the basement is relatively high, and it limits the geographical scope of AVP use;

Second, there are few partners involved in the automobile modification scheme, and OEM is dominant, so the commercial characteristics of AVP can be rapidly matured through mass production and shipment. Rebuilding the garage involves cooperation with real estate developers and properties, and the market is fragmented and the regional attributes are too strong, which increases the difficulty of commercial landing;

Thirdly, the scheme of rebuilding the basement doesn't require high intelligence of the car, but the AVP realized by "rebuilding the car" is closer to the future high-speed L4 automatic driving scene, which is beneficial to the long-term intelligent development of the car.

By changing the garage, different models can realize "automatic parking" through the transformation of the garage. The vehicle itself only needs basic functions such as electronic braking, automatic shifting, electronic power steering and remote interconnection, and does not need any environmental awareness function.
