What professional should I look for to repair smoke leakage in flue?

The smoke leaking from the flue was repaired by the painter. Generally, this phenomenon is caused by smoke leakage from the exhaust pipe, which is divided into the following situations:

1. No check valve is installed, and the check valve is not installed correctly. The check valve usually has an anti-dumping device at the outlet of the range hood, which is two semicircular plastic pieces (also metal, with better quality). When exhausting smoke, jack up the semi-circular cover plate and exhaust the oil smoke. When the smoke exhaust stops, the cover plate falls back to block the external oil smoke. If there is smoke leakage in the flue, it is probably because the operator did not install the check valve or the check valve was improperly installed, which did not play a role in preventing smoke from flowing backwards.

2. If the check valve is used for a long time, the quality is poor or the function fails, you should regularly check whether the smoke exhaust check valve of the range hood is faulty, or if it is used for a long time, too much sludge will accumulate and stick to the cover plate of the check valve. If the cover plate does not fall back, it will still open without smoke, resulting in odor. At this time, the check valve should be removed and cleaned, and then reinstalled to ensure that its function is no problem.

3. The auxiliary flue is dismantled illegally, and the joint is not tight. The joint between the smoke outlet of the range hood and the flue is not tightly sealed, and there is a gap, which leads to the oil smoke discharged from the kitchen downstairs entering along the gap. In order to save space, some owners will remove the auxiliary flue of the smoke exhaust pipeline, and then connect the smoke exhaust ventilator pipeline directly to the main pipeline. In fact, there will be holes in the dismantled pipes and joints, and the lampblack generated by the lower-level households can easily penetrate into the upper-level households through these holes. We should give feedback to the property and ask professionals to repair it.
