Wall quality inspection-a necessary step after buying a house!

When receiving a new house, wall quality inspection is an essential step. This article will introduce you to the steps of scraping putty, polishing putty, painting primer and finishing paint, so as to make your wall look brand new.

Comprehensively check the wall quality.

When receiving a new house, be sure to thoroughly check all the walls that need to be painted to ensure that they are firm and flat. If there are large cracks or holes, it should be suggested that the developer or property should repair them in time. The pores can be filled with gypsum.

Remove floating soil and sundries

In order to ensure that the wall is solid and flat, use tools such as brushes to remove the floating soil and sundries on the surface. After evenly coating the concrete interface agent, dry it (about 2 hours or more), and then blow putty.

Improve the aesthetics of the wall.

Measure the flatness of the wall with a measuring ruler of more than 2M, and determine the method of scraping putty. Generally, the putty is scraped twice, which can level and cover the background color. If the flatness is poor, it needs to be scraped several times locally. If the wall is seriously inclined, plaster can be scraped for leveling first, and then putty can be scraped. The interval of each putty should be more than 2 hours (after the surface is dry).

Observe flatness

1-2 After the water-resistant putty dries thoroughly, start polishing the putty. Illuminate with 100W bulb at night, and observe the flatness while grinding.

Brush primer

After the floating dust on the polished putty surface is cleaned, it can be primed. Primer should be painted evenly, and the next step should be carried out after drying (2-4 hours).

Paint the wall to shine.

Generally, the top coat is brushed twice with an interval of more than 2-4 hours (depending on the surface drying time) until it is basically dry. It takes 1-2 days for the second topcoat to completely dry. Please pay attention to water, drought and sun protection during the period to avoid problems with the paint film.
