What are the precautions for worshipping bodhisattva?

You can't practice Buddhism without precepts, and you can't practice Buddhism without precepts; Everything in the world is natural. Without discipline and law, without discipline and outline, everything is not worth it. Therefore, all Buddhists must not quit school, or think that they are bound by persistent things, so they should not go too far in falling into three evil ways. Be careful!

Rule number one: don't take a needle or thread in the temple.

If you receive a gift from Master, you can donate it to the merit box. The things in the temple are so small that even if you make a phone call in the temple and don't invest a dollar, it will be enough for you to go to hell. This is called Xiao Guo, and it's too late to regret it! Because small fruit is big, you can ascend to heaven and suffer in hell!

Rule 2: You are not allowed to pick fruits from the Temple Mount.

Many believers go to the mountains to worship Buddha every week, which is very religious. However, some people, who don't know the rules, drool when they see the fruit trees behind the temple full of ripe fruits. They couldn't help choosing their own food, and they committed the crime of stealing temple objects, which was enough to go to hell. You know, you can't eat anything without the permission of the donor. Believers don't take it back, and they don't make it clear that they want to support ten monks. This thing belongs to the original owner and can't be taken. Whoever takes it is guilty of stealing precepts and falling into evil ways!

Article 3: Smoking, wearing slippers, leather shoes and chewing betel nuts are not allowed when entering Buddhist temples.

It is often seen that many people smoke and chew betel nuts in the Buddhist temple, which is really disrespectful to the three treasures and defiles the tranquility of the Buddhist temple. You should know that the gas of cigarettes is quite toxic, which will cause cancer and disturb people's mood. Chewing betel nut is not only unsightly, but also pollutes the environment. There are eight guardians around the Buddhist temple. It is unforgivable to spit betel nut juice everywhere and pollute the holy land.

If you enter the Buddhist temple in the main hall, you should enter barefoot and wear ordinary shoes. When the Buddhist temple is dirty, it is not appropriate to enter the Buddhist temple, so as not to pollute the holy land. You should obey the rules.

A spit and a snot will burn in hell. All Buddhist disciples who keep precepts quietly and don't commit crimes can emit a sandalwood-like precept fragrance for a long time, which is full of fragrance and stretches for hundreds of miles, just like the signs of decline of Buddha and Bodhisattva. The fragrance fills the void and makes all beings sincerely offer sacrifices and worship.

Article 4: When entering the Buddhist temple, do not enter through the middle door, but through the side door.

It is polite not to step on the threshold when entering the temple. Confucius said, "A gentleman can't go without entering the middle gate." This Buddhist temple is the treasure house of the French king. When a Buddha enters a Buddhist temple, it is regarded as entering the imperial palace and visiting the emperor. He must abide by the etiquette in the temple and must not be solemn and casual, so as not to violate the crime of disrespecting the three treasures.

Article 5: When entering a Buddhist temple, you are not allowed to look up at the Buddha's face, bow your head to worship immediately, and you are not allowed to wander around and look around.

Article 6: Don't make noise, shout, lie down, lie down, run or jump in the Buddhist temple.

Article 7: When entering a Buddhist temple, don't spit or blow your nose.

There are many bodhisattvas living around the Buddhist temple. The environment is clean and pollution-free, and people's saliva and nose are filthy. If you spit and blow your nose everywhere in the Buddhist temple, it will pollute the holy land, cause air pollution, spread germs and hurt the monk's treasure. You suffered in hell, as evidenced by the scriptures. The monk said, "In the Buddhist land, you spit on the ground, so entering is karma." If you want to spit and blow your nose, wrap it in toilet paper and put it in the trash can, or spit on the sink and rinse it with water. !

Article 8: If you enter a Buddhist temple and go around the Buddha, you will get Five Blessingg.

Anyone who enters a Buddhist temple should immediately bow down to the Buddha or sing the Buddha's name around him. Buddha said: there are five kinds of blessings: first, future generations should have a good look; Second, they should have good timbre; Third, they should be born in the sky; Fourth, be born in a vassal's family; Fifth, they should have a path to nirvana. The direction around the Buddha should be from right to left. Go in and out immediately after worshipping Buddha, and don't make any noise.

Article 9: Food for temples should be donated.

Every temple that coincides with Bodhisattva's birthday and holds a disaster relief meeting will prepare a vegetarian feast and become attached to all beings; Or go to the temple to eat at ordinary times, you should donate merit money, because the food you eat is donated by ten good people and should not be eaten for nothing; Many people have this common problem of gluttony, thinking that it is right to give people a vegetarian diet without donating money at festivals in Buddhist temples, so they have committed the crime of stealing vegetables. When you plant the roots of hell unconsciously, be careful! (Non-monks are not allowed to support)

Article 10: If a stick leans against the wall, all the fruits will be lost.

In the past, Shiva Shedo, the 25th ancestor of India, once won the place of Siddhartha, but when he went to the Buddhist temple to worship Buddha, his staff head leaned against the wall and was destroyed for life, not to mention an ordinary person who committed this crime. There is no doubt that there will be retribution for falling into evil ways! Therefore, before entering the Buddhist temple to worship Buddha, you should put your belongings, clothes, hats and handbags on the ground, and then bow down to worship Buddha, feeling innocent. It is only a small gesture to report karma, but the difference in results is huge! In particular, don't leave bags, clothes, hats and jewelry on the table casually. Also, when entering a Buddhist temple, don't wear clogs and slippers, so as not to disturb the tranquility and pollute the Buddhist temple and avoid falling into the land of horseshoe country in the next life.

Article 11: No one is allowed to stand or worship in the center of a Buddhist temple.

The center of the Buddhist temple is the place where worship is held. Ordinary people are not allowed to stand or worship. Many people worship Buddha in the Buddhist temple, and they all like to kneel in the middle, but they don't know that they have violated the etiquette. Because a temple host needs high respect and excellent people to be regarded as it, the middle layer of the Buddhist temple is respected. It's not a misdemeanor to be disrespectful to me because worship occupies the position of the main monk.

Article 12: When entering a temple, the clothes should be neat and simple.

When a woman goes to a temple to worship Buddha, she must not wear miniskirts or bare-chested clothes, which is impolite. When worshipping Buddha, it is quite unsightly, which will hinder the solemnity of the Buddhist temple, cause the wrong thoughts of the believers who come to the temple, and disturb the purity of the temple. This is a sin!

Thirteenth: Don't let children run and play in the Buddhist temple.

This is very important. If you take your children to the Buddhist temple to worship Buddha, you must take care of it. Don't let the children run around in the hall, and don't move the tableware at will. Because wooden fish and exhausted appliances are dragon day's eyes and ears, don't let children play, or they will feel guilty. So I suggest parents take their children to the Buddhist temple to worship Buddha. They shouldn't let children play with equipment casually, otherwise their wisdom will decline and they won't be smart. This is a fact and can't be believed.

Article 14: Don't make any noise when entering the Buddhist temple.

When many people arrive at a Buddhist temple, it's like entering a public amusement park. They make a lot of noise and are in cahoots. They just take pictures of Buddha statues and eat meat. They regard the Buddhist temple as an ordinary temple or playground. There is no respect or silence, which disturbs the quiet practice of their families. It's a crime.

Strict precepts can prove the nature of Buddha, just as Hua Yan Jing said: "Discipline is supreme bodhi", and self-cultivation means keeping discipline quietly. The purpose of learning Buddhist precepts is to cultivate one's mind, cultivate one's morality, and cultivate six precepts without committing crimes, instead of measuring others from time to time and slandering their words and deeds. Then you will break the precepts yourself, so why should you serve others?

Article 15: When entering a Buddhist temple, you should recite "Amitabha" and ask the master.

When you enter a Buddhist temple, you should ask and answer "Amitabha" when you meet a master. You shouldn't call your master by his first name. Anyone who thanks or apologizes to Master should say "Amitabha" and say goodbye to Master. You should say "Disciple asks for leave from Master, Amitabha"!

Article 16: converted disciples should bow to master.

When you meet Master on the road, stop and ask her, and then leave. Don't hide. One thing to know is that all disciples who have received the Five Commandments and the Bodhisattva Commandments have to make three obeisances when they meet the monk and master. If they don't know how to bow, I will be slow. Bowing down to the three treasures is to eliminate my slow, constant and mutual respect, to cultivate humility and respect, and to eliminate karma.

Article 17: Etiquette for entering the host's room

When you enter the master's room, you have to deduct it three times: if you don't answer, it means that the master has something to do or rest in it, and you can't enter by force, but you can leave immediately.

Article 18: Know how to bow to Master.

Master should not make gifts when brushing his teeth, washing his face, having a haircut, sleeping, eating, resting, making phone calls or writing. It is not appropriate to make gifts on the road. Just ask questions. Many disciples showed great respect for Master, and made gifts at will regardless of time and place, which was unsightly and detrimental to Master's dignity!

Article 19: A gift for Master to eat and drink.

When serving food to the teacher, hold it high with your hands and wash the dishes. If you eat leftovers, you should not let your host eat them. This is a sin of impurity.

When talking to Master, don't face her, or stand or sit sideways, or stand too high or too far away. Speak clearly, quietly and happily with Master, and don't interrupt.

Article 21: The owner's things must not be used.

The host's seat, bed, clothes and things are not allowed to be used. Article 22: Courtesy of accompanying the host

If the teacher is sitting, he should stand beside him. He shouldn't have sat down unless he was ordered to sit down. When standing, don't lean against the wall and show disrespect to the host.

Article 23: Respect Master

If someone asks you the master's dharma number and says "up and down" instead of calling you by your first name, you will be teased for being impolite.

Article 24: Dining etiquette in Buddhist temples

We are not allowed to fight for seats or make loud noises when we enter the hall or lounge of a Buddhist temple. If we are disciplined, we will break the precepts again and our crimes will be aggravated.

Twenty-fifth: You should know if you spend the night in a Buddhist temple.

When you spend the night in a temple, you should turn off the lights and sleep when you hear Master knocking on the board (installing the board) to inform the public to sleep. Don't turn on the light to read the scriptures or talk and chat, which not only disturbs the sleep of monks, but also commits the crime of stealing electricity from permanent objects. All work and rest in the temple should be in accordance with the regulations of the temple, and you can't be arrogant casually.

Article 26: Use less things in Buddhist temples.

Where water and electricity are used in temples, they should be used sparingly and not wasted. Don't bring Buddhist temple supplies back to private use.

Article 27: When brushing your teeth and washing your face in a Buddhist temple, you should not face the golden Buddha or the monk.

When brushing your teeth and washing your face early in the Buddhist temple, don't look at the Buddha's golden body or the monk's master, so as not to be rude. It is also a courtesy, courtesy to people.

Article 28: Don't treat temples as tourist areas.

When you step into a Buddhist temple to worship Buddha and bodhisattva and eliminate karma, you need to be respectful and sincere so that you can feel it. Never laugh or laugh at yourself in a Buddhist temple. Instead of eliminating karma, you have committed the crime of disrespecting the Three Treasures! You should keep your dignity and honor to show your respect for Buddha and Bodhisattva, so that you can feel it. If you want to laugh, keep your voice down and cover it with cuffs. Don't regard pure and solemn Buddhist holy places as tourist holy places. If you don't keep discipline and appearance, the cause and effect will be great! People always have this problem.

Article 29: Before worshipping Buddha, you should purify yourself.

Before we worship Buddha, we should first wash our bodies and hands, especially after urinating in class, and wipe the urine with toilet paper to prevent urine from polluting our clothes. We should wash our hands with soap again. We can't be careless. In the past, Buddhist disciples had to wash their hands seven times after urinating. After defecation, you should wash your anus with the second little finger of your left hand (ring finger and little finger), keep your clothes clean, and then pay tribute and be blessed by Buddha and Bodhisattva. There are also men who go to the Buddhist temple to worship Buddha. They have to put their trouser legs into socks to prevent unclean hair from falling into the Buddhist temple, which is quite disrespectful. I hope men pay special attention to this.

Article 30: Do not eat meat, pungent taste, alcohol and tobacco before worshipping Buddha.

Speaking of eating, don't eat garlic, onions, fish, meat and wine before worshipping Buddha, chew betel nuts and smoke grass to avoid bad breath. It is quite disrespectful to pray for Buddha and Bodhisattva. Even when talking to people, it is impolite to smell, and you will be covered up, let alone worship Buddha!

Article 31: When someone salutes the Buddha, don't go there.

In the Buddhist temple, if you see someone kneeling to worship Buddha and Bodhisattva, don't go there. We mortals are not blessed to be worshipped by others. He is worshipping Buddha. Isn't passing by equal to worshipping you? This etiquette, many people will ignore.

Article 32: The posture of worshipping Buddha should be solemn and correct, and it is not allowed to tilt.

A person sincerely worships Buddha, and the posture of worshipping Buddha is solemn. I saw it with respect. When you worship Buddha with your hands folded, your fingers must be close together. Don't lean on your heart (in the middle of your chest), and your fingers should be facing up. It's impolite, and then you should ask about the bowing. When it comes to holding incense to worship Buddha, it is quite unsightly to just shake incense or hold incense in your hand. If you can't ask for incense, the correct worship method should be to bow your head forward and hold incense in your hand.

Article 33: A disciple and a master cannot worship one person.

When a disciple and his master visit a master or uncle, they are not allowed to worship their elders at the same time as the teacher. Only when the master worships first can the disciples worship in order. This is an orderly ceremony for all ages, and we should know this ceremony before showing the wind of education.

Article 34: Holding a Buddha statue is not allowed to give gifts to others.

If you hold a Buddha statue, you must not salute others, but you must not hold the Buddha statue below your waist, but above it.

Article 35: You don't have to burn incense to worship Buddha.

When we go to a Buddhist temple to worship Buddha, we don't have to worship Buddha to show our sincerity. The biggest etiquette of Buddhism is to worship Buddha, which represents the highest respect and etiquette. In Japan and Tibet, it is not necessary to burn incense to worship Buddha, but to pay tribute to the Buddha.

Article 36: Don't blow the Sambo Sutra with your mouth.

Where there is dust or incense ash on the Buddha's desk, you must wipe it with a clean rag, and you can't blow off the dust with your mouth, especially when there is dust in the classics. Wipe with a clean cloth. When the classics are placed on the table, they should not be placed outside the edge of the table, but in the Buddha's table to show respect, especially those with dirty hands. Wash your hands before taking the books.

Article 37: Don't throw the Buddha table about.

Fotai should be cleaned at ordinary times. Except for Buddha statues, incense burners, Buddha lanterns, candlesticks and vases, other items must not be placed on the Buddha table, otherwise it is a crime of disrespect for the three treasures! There are flowers in front of the Buddha, and the water should be changed once a day. If the flowers have withered, they should be picked and dried, and then discarded in a clean river ditch or buried in the mountains to avoid being trampled. Don't throw it on the garbage, which is difficult for almost everyone to follow. I hope Volkswagen can improve in the future! Especially the flowers on the table can't be offered to Buddha, and they won't touch them. The water in the bottle stinks, so the flowers will not be changed. When the smell rushes into the nose, all the flowers wither and need to be changed. Originally, fragrant flowers were offered to Buddha, but in the end, they committed the crime of polluting the three treasures, which was not worth the candle. Since we sincerely offer sacrifices to the Buddha, we must always keep the Buddha's platform clean and free from stains in order to achieve merit, otherwise there will be karma, and the Buddha should not be careless.

Article 38: When someone is chanting, please don't move or stand in the center to take pictures.

People who often don't understand this etiquette are quite reckless. When a person is chanting or chanting in front of the Buddha, if he walks casually or walks around like an antique, it will not only disturb people's tranquility and distract the spirit of chanting, but also hinder dragon day's dharma protector and all sentient beings in the dharma world from listening to the Dharma.

Whenever we recite Buddhist scriptures and rituals, we should not only adjust ourselves and experience the righteousness of Buddhist scriptures, but also repent and create karma. If we are sincere, we can appeal to all sentient beings in the dharma circle and Tianlong Babu to listen to the scriptures, so that they can enjoy hearing the dharma and grow good roots in karma. If we walk around and disturb the quiet and solemn holy land, their sins will be endless and Tianlong Babu will not forgive us.

Article 39: Don't blow incense with your mouth or smell it with your nose.

When the incense is too big to put out, blow it out with your mouth. If it is quite disrespectful, the fire will not go out. Put it out with a fan, or divide it into small handles and put it out by hand vibration. But don't blow out the fire in the incense table with your mouth. It is better to put it out by hand or fan. It is quite disrespectful for someone to light incense and put it in a censer to smell it. This is the crime of stealing Buddha incense. You must never smell incense before offering it to the Buddha. Isn't it disrespectful to smell it before offering it to the Buddha? Don't offer it to the Buddha after smelling it. Be careful not to make this mistake!

When you light incense in front of the Buddha, you only need to insert one. You don't need to stick to a few sticks, you need three sticks. It means eliminating greed, anger, stupidity and three poisons. Generally, you practice kung fu in your mind, and you can get rid of it without inserting three incense. There is no such record in ancient books. Without a fixed method, without the persistence of the method, sincere worship is very important, and it is futile to worship without sincerity and good incense. I presented a bunch for your reference: "A thousand incense burns, but there is no sincerity in my heart, and the incense burns empty." Therefore, when offering incense in front of the Buddha, you should try to choose the first-class incense with real materials. Don't use the incense of chemical spices to offer incense to the Buddha. Only insert one at a time, not more. A pack of good incense is expensive, but it can be used for a long time.

Article 40: Buddhist scriptures must not be misplaced.

Buddhist scriptures are the magic weapon among the three treasures, and the classics are protected by dragon day. When you see Buddhist scriptures, don't defile them, let alone put them between lovers, let alone in the basement or next to the toilet. They should be on the desk or bookcase, but they should be above the waist. It is disrespectful to put them on the table without exceeding the eaves of the table. Hold the sutra in both hands, not just above the waist, and wash your hands. We should respect the scriptures like Buddha, and we should not be careless. Some people not only hold scriptures in one hand, but also shake them while walking. What a sin! There are also classics. It is best to cover them with clean cloth to avoid dust. The classic is broken, so it must be completely repaired!

Article 41: Disciples who are ordained shall not learn foreign knowledge.

The sworn disciples are considered to be formal Buddhists, and only believers, not believers, convert to Sambo. It is forbidden to learn life, geomantic omen, astronomy, geography, magic, seeking god, dancing, singing and divination. Offenders who break the precepts will suffer consequences.

Article 42: You are not allowed to urinate or wash clothes in the temple bathroom.

Go to the temple for the night, wash yourself in the bathroom, don't urinate, don't wash clothes, because the bathroom is a place where monks wash themselves, and they can't pollute others to avoid suffering. The Zen master said, "Monks urinate in a clean place and choose no place, and they will go to hell as a meat toilet well and be burned at the stake." It can be seen that urinating in the bathroom is not a misdemeanor!

Article 43: Wear slippers instead of shoes when going to the toilet.

Anyone who goes to the toilet must take off his shoes and put on special clogs or slippers in the toilet. Because his shoes will get dirty when he goes to the toilet, if he goes to the Buddhist temple again, it will pollute the holy land. If there are no special clogs or slippers in the toilet, he can go to the toilet barefoot and wash his feet after going out. If he wears shoes, he must wash his soles before going out. After going out to the toilet, be sure to wash your hands with soap, not just water. If you defecate, according to the precepts, you should dip the last two fingers of your left hand in the anus before you can worship Buddha. The scripture says: "People who go to the toilet are not allowed to go to the Buddhist temple to worship Buddha, eat and drink, sit on a monk's bed or walk with others. Because of their unclean bodies, the spells they hold are invalid. " Do you know that if you don't clean the toilet, you can't worship Buddha with a spell, because you didn't clean it first. What will happen? Buddhists must know!

Forty-four: Be lucky when you sleep.

A Buddhist should sleep in an auspicious posture, that is, sleep on the right side of his body, with his feet slightly arched, his left hand on his leg and his right hand bent under his head. The auspicious position can stabilize his body and mind, and he won't fall asleep or have nightmares at night.

When sleeping in a Buddhist temple, clothes, shoes and socks under the body should not be placed above the head, because unclean things are placed above the head, which is not only unsightly, but also afraid of dirty things falling on the bed or unsightly.

Forty-five: spend the night in the Buddhist temple, don't make any noise.

It is common to spend the night in Buddhist temples. Buddhism is a sacred place of practice, and according to regulations, it is not allowed to spend the night with family members. However, often Master is merciful and convenient, and we have to love ourselves, which many people will do. If you can't sleep, you can turn on the light to read, but you have to pay the electricity bill, because all the lights will go out after the temple is installed. If you turn on the light yourself, it is a private matter. You should pay the fee at will to avoid committing the crime of stealing permanent property. This is a rule, and you can't casually, because you will have consequences if you come to the temple to abuse public property at will.

Article 46: You are not allowed to take things home without permission after assisting in the work in the Buddhist temple.

Many people go to Buddhist temples to volunteer and help with practical work, such as washing vegetables, washing dishes and sweeping the floor in the kitchen. Everyone has worked hard. After the ceremony, there will be some vegetables or dried vegetables, such as fungus, silver needle, mushrooms and so on. Sometimes there are a lot of leftovers to eat. Some masters make their own decisions and don't know the rules. In order to reward everyone's hard work, they will give the big bags and small bags to the helpers. This situation is quite serious and widespread. The food in every Buddhist temple is permanent and should not be given to them. Instead of doing nothing, it's a crime. If there are so many endless meals and food, you can share them with everyone. But if you want everyone to pay for their own things and put them in the merit box, you can use the money to buy the rest of the food from the permanent population, so there will be no negative cause and effect and you can kill two birds with one stone. No matter how hard you work, you should come to the Buddhist temple to help. Even if you break chopsticks, vases or other Buddhist temple supplies at work, you should still lose money to buy new ones as usual.

To sum up, to help work in the Buddhist temple is to accumulate merits, and at work, you have to compensate for broken items, take permanent leftovers to see how much they are worth, and then put the money into the merit box, so that you are complete and have unlimited merits!

Article 47: Don't support Master with unclean things or leftovers.

We shouldn't use leftover food, we worship the food and fruit of ghosts and gods to support our families, so we will fall into dirty land. Monks are the treasures of monks. They spread Buddhism on behalf of the Buddha and continue the wisdom and life of Buddhism. We should always be respectful, provide them with all the food, clothing, housing and transportation, show us the Dharma, guide us to believe in Buddhism and listen to Taoism, and make our life go beyond enrichment, get rid of all suffering, sublimate the meaning of life and understand life and death better. Therefore, we should lead an honest and clean life.

Article 48: A mage must not doze off during a lecture.

Every time I attend a master's lecture on Buddhism, I often see some people casually listening to the lecture, chatting with their neighbors, disturbing the master's teachings, desecrating the three treasures, hindering the spread of Buddhism, committing serious crimes and dozing off, which is very rude. In contrast, the master's lecture means that Sakyamuni Buddha is spreading Buddhism, which is quite sacred. In the lecture, there are also eight guardians of the dragon, and all kinds of gods and men gather in heaven to listen to Buddhism. No matter what the speaker says, it is not a misdemeanor to be responsible for the consequences. When the mage was speaking on the stage, someone dozed off under the stage, and everyone could see it clearly. It is very impolite and disrespectful for a speaker to doze off. Whenever the mage speaks, you must jump in and listen to the lecture, but you must never doze off. This guarantee will be of great help to your Buddhism!

Article 49: When offering something to Master or something given by the teacher, you should kneel with both hands.

When providing goods or cash to Master, kneel down to hold the gift, or get attached to the teacher's gift, and also kneel down to show respect. Many people don't know this etiquette. Some people are tall and stand taller than Master, and their offerings are condescending and disrespectful. Therefore, tall people should usually stand two steps behind master, not parallel to the teacher.

Article 50: The kowtowing master should face the Buddha position or upright position.

Many people bow down to master in the Buddhist temple. No matter which direction master stood, they all bowed down to master's body. It's not polite. They should bow in the direction of the Buddha statue. If there are no Buddha statues, they should bow down in the opposite direction to the entrance. Bowing is usually enough.
