In addition to its main business, its investment scope also includes tourism and real estate. Guilin Guipeng Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. invested by it has developed Gui Hu Garden, Xinyi Road, Xiufeng District.

Although Guilin Hongwei Group Company has lofty ideals and goals, it failed to survive in the fierce market economy competition due to poor management and insolvency, and was ruled bankrupt by Guilin Intermediate People's Court in 2008. Now the factory has been abandoned, weeds and shrubs are growing wildly, some plots have become vegetable fields, and the workshops and offices at first glance are decadent; The employee's family area is also dilapidated, just like the slum; And those unemployed workers, like retirees, sit around the factory gate in twos and threes to make ends meet.

With the development of the times, many traditional industries in Guilin have no choice but to end in the wave of market economy, while those once powerful enterprises like Guilin Hongwei Group Company are gradually forgotten, and many old factories are either dilapidated or antique. Of course, with the development of science and technology, many old products and enterprises have to withdraw from the market, but many enterprises in Guilin have closed down not for these reasons, but because of poor management or lack of funds and technology, which is the main reason for Guilin's poor economic development.

Since Guilin Hongwei Group Company declared bankruptcy, Xiangshan District Government has been planning how to revitalize land resources and introduce new industries to revitalize this old factory.
