Domestic service industry refers to a service industry that takes the family as the service object, professionals enter the residence of family members, provide care for pregnant women, infants, the elderly, patients and the disabled, and provide paid services such as cleaning and cooking in fixed places to meet the needs of family life care. In recent years, China's domestic service industry has developed rapidly, but there are still problems such as insufficient effective supply, irregular industry development and low satisfaction of the masses. In order to promote the upgrading and expansion of domestic service industry and realize high-quality development, with the consent of the State Council, we hereby put forward the following opinions.

First, take comprehensive support measures to improve the quality of domestic workers.

(1) Support colleges and universities to set up a number of domestic service-related majors. In principle, at least 1 undergraduate colleges and several vocational colleges (including technical colleges, the same below) in each province offer domestic service-related majors to expand the enrollment scale.
