More than 200 wading vehicles were dragged out of the Beijing-Guangzhou tunnel. Why is it so difficult to rescue?

Beijing-Guangzhou North Road Tunnel is the main road of Beijing-Guangzhou Expressway running through the north and south of Zhengzhou, only 300 meters away from the west square of Zhengzhou Railway Station, and its geographical location is very important. At the same time, because there are cars, silt and various sundries in the tunnel, such as daily necessities, especially broken glass, the water pump is often blocked.

The person in charge said that in order to solve this problem, the rescue team transferred the only "tank drainage vehicle" in China from Fujian Province on July 23. This kind of "tank drainage vehicle" can drive into the tunnel, followed by a cart to provide power and control signals, and the water pump can transport muddy water to two kilometers away.

Submerged cars and car seekers in Beijing-Guangzhou tunnel

On July 20, Zhengzhou rainstorm flooded the Beijing-Guangzhou North Road Tunnel, and a large number of cars were trapped.
