"Throw the money into the water!" A few days ago, Xie, the vice mayor in charge of tourism in Shaoxing, made a surprising speech when interviewed by reporters, expressing his determination to develop and invest in Shaoxing water tourism and build the image of Shaoxing water city.

In Xie's eyes, water is the lifeblood and soul of Shaoxing. He said that Shaoxing has a long history and splendid culture, and is known as a water town, a bridge town, a wine town and the hometown of celebrities. Fundamentally speaking, all the honors of Shaoxing come from water, which is the foundation of water and nourishes this land. It is water that has nurtured the children of this shore; It is water that creates this brilliance. Today, the development and prosperity of Shaoxing is even more inseparable from water. Only by pursuing individuality, creating characteristics and making great efforts to deepen, thoroughly and well the articles on water can Shaoxing stand on its own feet as a "school of its own" in cities all over the country and even the world. As far as tourism is concerned, water is the characteristic, bright spot and selling point of Shaoxing tourism, and it is an inexhaustible resource and driving force of Shaoxing tourism.

"Looking at the history of Shaoxing, it is a history of water conservancy to a great extent." As for the history of Shaoxing, Xie Tuzhen said: "Shaoxing is surrounded by mountains and seas, and it was a water town and a country in history. Faced with floods and seawater immersion, the ancestors of the State of Yue constantly learned about water, used it and reformed it, from the reclamation of Dayu to the construction of a rich pool in Betty Wong, from the construction of Jianhu Lake in Ma Su in the Eastern Han Dynasty to the construction of Sanjiang Sluice in Shaun, Tang Ming, and so on, and finally built Shaoxing into a picturesque land of fish and rice.

In recent years, Shaoxing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have opened a new chapter in Shaoxing's history of water control by renovating the ring river, the ancient canal and the Dahuan River. Speaking of the "water control movement" in Shaoxing in the new era, Xie is particularly excited: Shaoxing is surrounded by rivers and lakes, with a long history and profound cultural heritage. The river was first dug in 490 BC, when the capital was built in Jianyue City. Later, the river expanded with the development of the city. With Shaoxing entering the era of industrialization, the phenomenon of disrepair and out-of-control of rivers has become more and more serious. The problems such as bank collapse, deep siltation, lack of green around the city and dirty water are very prominent, and the charm of Jiangnan water town has been eclipsed. 1999 At the beginning of this year, Shaoxing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government made a decision to "harness Guhedu with the help of society". After nearly three years of construction, * * * invested 65.438+0.2 billion yuan, and the 24-kilometer river around the city reappeared the beautiful scenery of flowing water, rippling blue waves, lush green grass and willows, especially the newly-built eight gardens along the river, such as Jishan Garden, Jianshui Garden, Water Control Square, Xiyuan Garden, Baihua Garden, Yingenmen Garden, Heqing Garden and Dusimen Garden. Such as bright pearls embedded in it, the beautiful scenery of the water town lost for many years has returned to reality. Therefore, the reconstruction project around the city river won the "Model Award of China's Human Settlements". Later, the Grand Canal and the Great Ring River reconstruction project and the Ring River complemented each other, and jointly propped up a beautiful water city. Some media called it "a river changed a city".

The natural resources of Zeguo, a water town, and the water control movement from generation to generation have made Shaoxing the "Venice of the East", providing rich and unique resources for Shaoxing to develop water tourism. At present, Shaoxing has basically formed ten water town customs: water town social drama, Jianshui, Xianheng wine rhyme, South City sacrifice to Yu, Qushui, Taimen legacy, water town market, teahouse listening to books, dragon boat race, and flower carving to marry women. "The essence of water control is use, which was first used in tourism." Xie said that if the change from "water disaster" to "water conservancy" was realized in the previous step, then the change from "water control" to "water use" should be completed, and the change from "distant view" to "laughing and cursing" should be realized, that is, seeking the image of the city from water, seeking economic benefits from water and seeking harmonious development from water, so that water can truly become the source of vitality and charm for Shaoxing tourism.

But at present, many water resources in Shaoxing are scattered and scattered, and many people manage them, which is compared to scattered pearls. How to connect these scattered pearls in series with water as the line and scenery as the point to become a dazzling necklace? Shaoxing officials are starting to set up a large aircraft carrier-Shaoxing Shuicheng Tourism Co., Ltd., which will integrate the water resources of the ring river, ancient canal, big ring river and inland river in Shaoxing city, develop Shuicheng tourism in a large-scale and all-round way, and hold out a fascinating book floating on the water for people. Xie expressed his belief that by then, all tourists who come to Shaoxing will sincerely believe that Shaoxing's water city and charm are well deserved.
