It doesn't matter whether you can work in CNOOC or not. As long as you have the strength, you can join CNOOC by passing a series of exams such as written test and interview. Generally speaking, if you are a graduate student majoring in petroleum, it is more likely to recruit through CNOOC, but it is almost impossible for non-petroleum majors.

The basic requirements for applying for CNOOC mainly include the following points:

1, healthy, law-abiding, good conduct, excellent academic performance, love for offshore oil industry, professional compliance with recruitment requirements, business development needs of the recruiting unit, values consistent with the spirit of petroleum and offshore oil, and corporate culture.

2. Fresh graduates from institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Education and provincial and central ministries and commissions, as well as overseas students who are employed for the first time after returning to China and have been certified by the Ministry of Education to be qualified for dispatch.

3. Postgraduates should reach CET-6 and undergraduates should reach CET-4. Undergraduate and graduate students whose first foreign language is another language should meet the corresponding standards respectively; Foreign language graduates should have corresponding professional achievements. Graduates engaged in international business need to take the foreign language proficiency test alone after passing the unified examination of the group company.
