When will the renovation deposit be refunded?

Legal analysis: China's law only stipulates that the house decoration should be informed to the property service enterprise in advance, but it does not stipulate that the decoration must pay a deposit. In fact, at present, only some local governments have formulated the contents of housing deposits, such as Binzhou City, which stipulates a 30-day refund period. In more places, the property and the owner have agreed on such content in the property service contract, and the refund period should be determined by the contract content at this time.

I. Regulations on Property Management Article 52 If the owner needs to decorate the house, he shall inform the property service enterprise in advance.

The realty service enterprise shall inform the owners of the prohibited acts and matters needing attention in the house decoration.

Two. Measures for the implementation of residential property service charge management in Binzhou Article 21 Where an owner or property user carries out interior decoration, installs solar energy and air conditioning on his property, which may damage the building structure, he shall go through the registration formalities with the property service enterprise with relevant materials, sign a warranty agreement, and pay an appropriate amount of deposit. The collection and refund of the deposit shall be agreed by both parties in the warranty agreement. After the decoration or installation of the owner or property user is completed and the property service enterprise is qualified, the deposit shall be returned to the owner within 30 days from the date of acceptance.
