When was the "plastic restriction order" issued and when did it take effect?

The Ministry was promulgated in 2007 and implemented in 2008.

On June 5438+February 3, 2007, in order to restrict and reduce the use of plastic bags and curb "white pollution", the State Council issued the Notice of the General Office of the State Council on Restricting the Use of Plastic Shopping Bags.

The notice clearly stipulates: "From June 1 day, 2008, the production, sale and use of plastic shopping bags with a thickness less than 0.025mm are prohibited nationwide".

"Since June 1 2008, all supermarkets, shopping malls, bazaars and other retail places have implemented the system of paid use of plastic shopping bags, and plastic shopping bags are no longer provided free of charge".

Results:

At the initial stage of implementation, the plastic restriction order played a positive role in standardizing the production and use of plastic bags by merchants, raising public awareness of environmental protection and guiding the public to reduce the use of plastic bags.

According to the "Major Achievements since the Implementation of Plastic Restriction Order" published by the National Development and Reform Commission on 20 13, from 2008 to 20 13, the use of plastic shopping bags in supermarkets and shopping malls generally decreased by more than two thirds, and the use of plastic shopping bags in major retail places in China decreased by 67 billion, reducing plastic consumption 1 10,000 tons.
