Specific to the project area, the branch line of Xiaohuangshan-Dahuangshan Railway passes through the south of the planned industrial park, and Urumqi Railway Bureau plans to expand the branch line. The original intention of railway construction and the main task at present are to transport coal from Dahuangshan and Xiaohuangshan coal mines for Bayi Steel. Urumqi Railway Bureau has drawn up a capacity expansion plan for this branch line, and plans to build a railway freight marshalling station in northern Xinjiang on the basis of existing small stations along the way. In 2009, the transportation capacity will increase from 2.5 million tons to 4 million tons, and Urumqi East Railway Station (freight station) will move eastward here. In addition, the Urumqi-Midong-Fukang-Yiwu-Hami railway freight line has also started construction.

The freight yard construction of Ganquanbao Railway Station and the reconstruction project of Midong section of Wuhan-Jiangxi Railway, with a total investment of 1. 1 100 million yuan invested by Xinjiang Asia-Europe Railway Diversified Operation Base Development Center, have been completed, and the freight yard construction of Ganquanbao Railway Station has completed the preliminary examination procedures, and preparations are being stepped up.

At present, the 22-kilometer railway branch line from Ganquanbao Railway Station of Urumqi-Zhun Railway to Shenhua Company of Heavy Chemical Industry Park in Ganquanbao Industrial Zone has started construction. The 4.4 km branch line of Xinjiang Teba Silicon Industry and Zhonghe Co., Ltd. in Weijiaquan-Ganquanbao High-tech Industrial Park of Xiaohuangshan Railway has been reported for construction. In 2009, the State Council officially approved the construction of the second double line of Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway (originally planned to start on August 25th). Urumqi Railway Station of Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway is planned to be located in Midong New District, only 30 kilometers away from Ganquanbao Industrial Zone, and it is planned to extend to Ganquanbao Industrial Zone.
