The Historical Evolution of Changzhou Children's Hospital

Changzhou Children's Hospital (Sixth People's Hospital) was established in June 1996. Located in the scenic Dongdaemun Scenic Area of Changzhou, it is adjacent to Qianzhouting Park in the east and Hongmei Park in the west. 10 For many years, with the support of Changzhou Municipal Party Committee and government departments and the efforts of previous leaders and colleagues, the hospital has grown from small to large and from weak to strong. Changzhou Children's Hospital covers an area of 5,669 square meters, with a building area of13,302 square meters and 2 beds12. In order to expand the outpatient service and adapt to the development of hospital business, hospital leaders negotiated with relevant departments to allocate part of the original plot of No.8 Cotton Textile Factory to children's hospital to rebuild the outpatient and emergency inpatient complex. On September 8, 2006, the outpatient and emergency inpatient complex was completed and put into use, with an area of 12808.7 square meters and a construction area of 2 1800 square meters. Up to now, Changzhou Children's Hospital has a building area of 32,302 square meters and 320 beds (including 234 in pediatrics and 86 in adults).
