Introduction of ancient buildings in Chunyang Palace

The ancient Qing Palace complex is located in Taiyuan, with a long history and profound cultural heritage. Here, you can feel the rich elements of China ancient culture and take you into a different world. This is the Guide to Ancient Buildings in the Palace.

The Chunyang Palace in Taiyuan is worth seeing. I accidentally walked into its door. Qing Palace, located in the northwest of Wuyi Square, is a famous Taoist temple.

"Pure Yang" is the name of the Taoist priest in the Tang Dynasty, and "Palace" is the honorific title of the place where immortals are worshipped. Founded in the Yuan Dynasty, it began to expand in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. In Qing Dynasty, Ganlong County made Guo Jin take charge of civil engineering, which formed today's scale.

Taoist temples are based on pavilions and worship Taoist immortals. The layout of the building is compact, and the original style is retained. Weiting is the highest point of Taoist temple, where people stand commanding and have a panoramic view of Wuyi Square.

Chunyang Palace has a collection of many stone carvings with a long history. Many of them are Buddha statues in the Northern Wei Dynasty or the Northern Qi Dynasty. They are all very beautiful, and there are many excellent works. Therefore, Chunyang Palace is also a stone carving museum. Friends who like carving art must visit Chunyang Palace when they come to Taiyuan. They must be glad you came.

As it was a special period and there were not many tourists, I went straight in along the gate. I didn't know much about it before, and I didn't know how old it was. After visiting the whole Chunyang Palace, I feel quite spectacular. Let's start with Jiugong Bagua Courtyard and learn about its architectural history.

Taiyuan Chunyang Palace, located in the northwest corner of Wuyi Square in Taiyuan, covers an area of 10000 square meters. Founded in the Yuan Dynasty, it was expanded in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. Now it is Shanxi Art Museum, which is a comprehensive museum of ancient buildings with the purpose of collecting, researching and displaying ancient artworks.

Pure Palace is a five-entrance courtyard in the style of a temple garden. There are all kinds of pavilions in the yard. There is a wooden archway with four pillars and three floors in front of the door. Its shape and color are unique and conspicuous.

Lvzu Hall is the main hall of Chunyang Palace, located in the center of the courtyard, with three spacious rooms, square and square. This is the most spectacular building in the palace. The architectural pattern of the courtyard behind the temple is quite unique. It is said that it was built in the direction of the Eight Diagrams, with distinctive Taoist architectural characteristics, and it is also the essence of the whole Chunyang Palace.

It is famous for its "Nine Palaces and Eight Diagrams Courtyard, Nie _ disguised tablet, Changyang Buddha statue", "Pure Yang Nine Scenes" and "Eight Treasures of Art". Its overall layout is compact and the combination is ingenious and exquisite, which absorbs the characteristics of southern classical garden architecture and breaks through the grand and solemn style of northern official architecture layout. It can be called the treasure of ancient architectural relics.

No.4 jiugong baguayuan

Pure Palace, five-courtyard picture scroll, the most magical one, and the fourth one is Jiugong Bagua Courtyard. Through the plank door on the back eaves of Chunyang Temple, you will see a four-character plaque engraved with Yang's "Yingzhou Wonderland". This is the entrance to the gossip room.

Chuntang is about three or four steps away from the entrance of Bagua Courtyard, and the whole building layout is very compact. This distance is in sharp contrast with the spacious platform and open temple in front of Chunyang Temple. Let the feeling of immortal abode of fairies and immortals be stronger, and this compact transition is less dignified and more relaxed.

The first thing I saw through the doorway was the pavilion on the second floor of Sanfang in Qing Dynasty. There are three deep bays on the first floor of the pavilion, the plane is square, and there is no arch on the stigma, which is a minority style. The second layer is octagonal with a square base, and the stigma is covered with a bucket of two liters of hemp leaves. The upper floor is an octagonal pavilion with obvious "side feet" on the pillars. The establishment of the octagonal pavilion has made the entrance a beautiful picture in front of people, weakening the sense of oppression of this high-rise building with kilns upstairs and downstairs.

The whole courtyard goes upstairs under the kiln, with two floors. The cave below is a complete ancient time.

The cave building on the first floor also has an interesting name "Nine Kilns and Eighteen Holes". On the second floor, except for the south, there are three bays, four beams and four sheds hanging on the top of the mountain, and there are three bays on the other three sides. The wooden hall is located on the top of the mountain. There is also a platform in the North Hall. The whole two-story courtyard is low in front and high in back, high in left and low in right. The traditional concepts of respect and order are everywhere.

The caves around the House of Commons are not all the same. The caves in the north are horizontal kilns (others are vertical kilns), also called pillow kilns. In this way, there are three kilns on the other three sides, corresponding to "nine kilns and eighteen holes", and "nine kilns" corresponding to "eighteen holes", while the two doorways of the sixteen windows of the east and west meet the requirements.

Go through this door, and you can reach the last yard. The second floor of the Fourth and Fifth Hospital, take the stairs from this entrance to the second floor.

I've finished all the gossip in Jiugong. Masonry buildings not only have good fire resistance, but also thick caves make them warm in winter and cool in summer. In addition, they are isolated from noise, giving people the tranquility of the bustling city at the moment.

The ingenious architectural layout of the ancients created a unique fairy cave for future generations.
