Pingtang Bridge is a control project of Pingtang-Luodian Expressway, which is located between K32 and K35 of Pingtang-Luodian section and between Yazhou Town and Tongzhou Town of Pingtang County. It spans Caodu River Canyon, with a total length of 2135m and a deck width of 30.2m..

The span layout of the bridge is a "cable-stayed bridge with three towers and double cable planes", in which the highest main tower 16 is 332 meters high, which is equivalent to the height of 1 10 story. The amount of concrete used for the tower body alone exceeds 40,000 cubic meters, and the total amount of steel used is more than 7,800 tons. It is 3 1.6m higher than the main tower (300.4m) of the tallest tower in China, making it the first high concrete bridge tower in the world.

After the Pingtang Bridge is completed and opened to traffic, Guizhou will add another world-class bridge! It is the highest and most beautiful "bridge of the sky" in the world! The huge main tower is a "diamond" space tower, which stands in the mountains and is very spectacular in the fog.

Wang Qiang, deputy director of the agent project office of Pingtang Bridge of China Communications Highway Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., said: There is a sightseeing service area next to the bridge, which is also the first "bridge-tourism integration" sightseeing service area in Guizhou.

The design of the tourist area organically combines the construction of canyon bridges with the concept of mountain tourism development, making "Bridge of the Sky" the fourth "Tian Zi Wonder" in Pingtang after "Eye of the Sky", "Tiankeng" and "Tianshu". The total land area of the project is141.62mu, and the total construction area is 15923.06m2, which will be constructed in two phases. The first phase will meet all the basic functions of the general service area, allowing passengers to stop and refuel here and enjoy the panoramic view of Pingtang Bridge. There will also be hotels, entertainment areas, camping areas and barbecue areas.

After the bridge is completed and opened to traffic, it will form a traffic corridor connecting the southern Guizhou horizontally, which is of great significance for improving the production and living conditions of ordinary people along the line, promoting the great growth of local tourism, boosting the great development of regional economy and society, accurately helping the poor, developing and opening up, and building a well-off society simultaneously.
