The biggest garden in Suzhou is Humble Administrator's Garden.

Humble Administrator's Garden is located atNo. 178, Dongbei Street, gusu district, Suzhou. Covering an area of 78 mu, about 5.2 hectares, it has a history of more than 500 years. It is the largest garden in Suzhou. Humble Administrator's Garden, built in Ming Dynasty, is a masterpiece of Jiangnan classical gardens. Humble Administrator's Garden, together with Beijing Summer Palace, chengde mountain resort and Suzhou Lingering Garden, is called the four famous gardens in China.

Most of the existing buildings in the Humble Administrator's Garden were rebuilt when Xianfeng became the loyal palace garden of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom in the tenth year of Qing Dynasty, and three relatively independent small gardens were formed in the late Qing Dynasty.

The central part is the main attraction and essence of Humble Administrator's Garden. The overall layout is centered on the pool, and pavilions are built by the water, and some pavilions are straight out of the water, which is quite characteristic of Jiangnan water town. The swimming pool is lush and natural. Buildings of different shapes and heights are arranged at the water's edge, with clear priorities. The overall pattern has maintained the rich, simple and elegant artistic style of Ming gardens. Yuanxiangtang, which uses lotus fragrance as a metaphor for characters, is the main building of the main scenic spot of Humble Administrator's Garden in Central China.

The west was originally a complementary garden with circuitous water surface and compact layout. It is surrounded by mountains and rivers with pavilions. The main building is the 36-yuan Yang Pavilion near the residential side, which was the place where the garden owner entertained guests and listened to songs at that time, and the hall was fully furnished. The eastern part, formerly known as "rural residence", has long been deserted and is all newly built. The layout is mainly composed of Hiraoka Distant Mountain, Pine Lawn and Bamboo House Qushui. With the shantang pavilion, it still maintains a spacious and lively style.
