Beijing moment

I read the novel Clouds in Beijing when I was at school. At that time, I lived on campus, didn't have classes on weekends, and was far from home. When we have nothing to do, several students in our dormitory bought five yuan of melon seeds, borrowed some novels from the bookstore outside, took them back to the dormitory, and read books while eating melon seeds to kill boring time. Of course, because there is no money, it is impossible to buy books. Yuan Mei, a writer in Qing Dynasty, once said, "You can't read books unless you borrow them." I couldn't agree more. There is a deadline for borrowing books, so we have to pay more. For poor students, money is squeezed out of our teeth, so it is cost-effective to read it quickly after borrowing it. So there were many famous Chinese and foreign works at that time, and "Clouds in Beijing" was one of them. Because of the age, and because I watched three versions of TV series, the TV series originated from the original work. After the adaptation, these four kinds are mixed together and can only be shared by memory.

"Smoke in Beijing" is a story of old Beijing and China's wind and frost. It is a novel written by Lin Yutang in English from1August 1938 to1August 1939. The English title is Moment in Peking, which is the title he translated into Chinese, and some translators translated this book into Instant Beijing.

Clouds in Peking tells the story of Yuan Shikai's usurpation, restoration, Zhifeng War, warlord regime, May 4th Movement, March 18th Massacre, "Silk School" and "Modern Critics School" from the Boxer Rebellion of 190 1 to War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression for more than 30 years.

From 65438 to 0975, Lin Yutang was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature for "Clouds in Beijing".

Three novels. The first "Taoist girl" was written in 1900 to 1909. The wind of Eight-Nation Alliance's invasion is getting tighter and tighter. When Yao Si 'an, a wealthy businessman and Taoist believer with millions of assets in Beijing, left Beijing for the south, Yao Mulan, a 10-year-old girl of the Yao family, was separated from her family during the war and was later taken in by Zeng Wenpu, a Beijing official. Mulan and Sunya, the third son of the Zeng family, were regarded as a godsend. A few years later, Yao Mulan grew into a beautiful and intelligent girl. At this time, successive human waves broke the quiet life of these two families. Kong Lifu, an energetic young man, entered the Yao family's life circle and heart. Mulan married Sunya, making the Taoist daughter a daughter-in-law of Confucianism, and Mulan loved Kong Lifu in her heart.

The second part, "Courtyard Tragedy", tells the story of the bullying, decline and collapse of the evil forces in the Niu family. Later, the brush strokes returned to Yao's compound, showing scenes of tragedy: Di Renjie, the son of Yao's parents, died, Di Renjie's mother suffered from a strange disease for a long time, and Feng Hongyu, the daughter of his uncle Feng Zean, threw herself into the lake. Yao Sian thought that he had done his duty to his family, cut his hair and decorated it, and went out to travel. It was announced that he would come back in ten years.

The third "Qiu Ge" describes the life of Yao Zeng and his family during the twenty years from the eve of the May 4th Movement to the occupation of Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou by Japanese invaders. With the passage of time, the third generation Zeng and Yao gradually grew up. The Japanese imperialist aggression has brought profound disasters to the people of China. Mulan's home is far from Hangzhou westbound. There are refugees all the way. Mulan took in three orphans and a newborn baby during her westward journey. She feels that although she is in the autumn of her life, the next generation is in spring. "The songs of fallen leaves in late autumn contain lullabies of youth." The novel ends with "Qiu Ge".

This book is called the modern version of a dream of red mansions, and we can see the shadow of a dream of red mansions in the book. It's about the feud between Niu Yao and the Zeng clan. The three sons of the Zeng family, the eldest sons Pingya and Mannia, were childhood friends and engaged with the support of their families. Later, Pingya became ill. To celebrate, great-grandfather and great-grandmother held a wedding for their eldest son and fiancee Mannia in advance. Mannia and Pingya have deep feelings, but the wedding ended peacefully.

Jingya, the second son of the Zeng family, married Niu Suyun, the daughter of the Niu family. These two men are enemies. Chinya is a timid person with no ambition, while Niu Suyun is a young lady spoiled by her parents. She lives with Jingya, who often makes trouble, but Jingya has been putting up with the daughter of the Niu family, and the parents of the Zeng family have a headache. Niu Suyun's arrogance aroused the dissatisfaction of her husband's family and finally divorced Jing Ya. Niu Suyun finally got mixed up with the Japanese.

Sunya, the third son, married Yao Mulan, a famous talented woman in Beijing, and Mulan's father, Yao Siyuan, was a famous family in Beijing. As the name implies, Mulan is a capable woman of Xifeng in Rainbow, and the heroine among women is certainly more educated than Wang Xifeng. Wang Xifeng is illiterate, and Yao Mulan is a beautiful woman who has read many poems. Before marrying Sunya, Mulan fell in love with Kong Lifu, and they hit it off immediately. They are an ideal couple. However, Mulan is the daughter-in-law of the Zeng family's parents, and she and Sunya were arranged by their parents. They were engaged long ago and didn't get married until they grew up. Mulan and Lifu also missed the marriage and finally married Sunya. On Mulan's wedding day, Yao's father prepared a generous dowry for Mulan, and almost half of the Yao family moved away. Oracle Bone Inscriptions, a priceless treasure, followed Mulan to the Zeng family. After marriage, the two respected each other and played the piano and sang. Sunya fell in love with a woman outside when she was in middle age. Finally, with Mulan's intervention, Sunya broke up with the woman outside and chose to return to the family.

Later, when War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression broke out in China, the life of the deep house compound was disrupted. The Japanese devils committed many evils in China, and Mannia also died by the Japanese sword, which triggered a national war of resistance. Lifu, Mulan's younger brother and Niu Suyun all attended War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression at last. Mulan's family moved south for refuge, and Oracle Bone Inscriptions of Yao's family was finally attracted by the Japanese. In order to preserve the Oracle bone inscriptions, Yao's father died with the Japanese.
