People's Republic of China (PRC) Civil Code Implementation Time

The effective date of People's Republic of China (PRC) Civil Code is 202 1, 1, 1. According to Article 1260th of the Civil Code of People's Republic of China (PRC), this Law shall come into force as of 202 1 1 0.

People's Republic of China (PRC)'s Civil Code ***7, 1260, refers to general provisions, property rights, contracts, personality rights, marriage and family, inheritance, tort liability and supplementary provisions.

People's Republic of China (PRC) Civil Code is called "encyclopedia of social life". It is the first law named after the code in New China, which occupies a fundamental position in the legal system and is also the basic law of the market economy. Almost all civil activities, from signing contracts and setting up companies to paying property fees and divorce, can be found in the Civil Code.

The first case was judged as 202 1, 65438, 1, and the Yuexiu District People's Court of Guangzhou pronounced the first high-altitude parabolic case after the implementation of the Civil Code. After deliberation, the collegial panel decided that the defendant should compensate the plaintiff for medical expenses, nursing expenses, transportation expenses, hospital food subsidies, disability compensation and appraisal fees totaling 825 12.29 yuan, and mental damages totaling 10000 yuan.
