The original plant of this tree species is a big tree, more than 30 meters high, with a straight trunk. Bud pulp is grayish yellow and clings to long hair. Branchlets are usually thin, angular or nearly cylindrical, and are grayish yellow or grayish brown villous or pubescent. Leaves leathery, ovoid, lanceolate or oblanceolate, 7- 13cm long and 2.5-4cm wide, tapering at the top, straight or sickle-shaped, wedge-shaped at the base, blunt or sharp at the end, glossy and hairless at the top or pilose along the lower half of midrib, densely pubescent at the bottom, pilose on the vein, with the top of midrib sinking into the ditch and the bottom protruding obviously. Petiole thin, long 1 to 2.2 cm.
