Especially under the epidemic situation, most consumers consciously choose "contactless delivery" service, which is becoming more and more serious in Man Cang.

Insiders analyzed, "To alleviate the explosion of express cabinets, we can start from two aspects. One is to lay more express cabinets in places with high utilization rate as much as possible, and the other is to find ways to reduce the stranded parts in intelligent express cabinets, improve the turnover rate of existing intelligent express cabinets and upgrade existing functions. Obviously, limited by cost and space, the latter is the best solution at present. "

Based on this, Honeycomb Box announced today (April 27th) that it will launch "Member Service" on April 30th, 2020. Users are divided into ordinary users (all users who use the honeycomb box smart cabinet) and member users. The specific criteria are as follows:

1) Ordinary users: users can keep their packages for free 12 hours. 0.5 yuan will be charged every 12 hour after overtime, and 3 yuan will be capped.

2) Monthly card member: monthly card 5 yuan/month, unlimited storage times, any receipt of the month, each of which can be stored for 7 days and valid for 30 days;

3) season card member: season card 12 yuan /3 months, unlimited storage times, 7 days long storage, 90 validity period;

Note: There is no charge for legal holidays.

It is understood that the above-mentioned service charging standards will be carried out with the consent of users, that is, ordinary users and member users need to agree to the charging standard agreement online before they can start charging services. Without the user's consent, the storage fee will not be imposed. For users who have used the express delivery counter for many times but still don't agree to the storage fee service agreement, Honeycomb Box will no longer allow their express delivery to enter the counter.

Previously, the charging model had already been implemented at home and abroad. In Japan, the cost of self-reported cabinets is usually added to the property fee. Usually, the annual fee of a building 100 households can cover the maintenance cost of a self-reported cabinet. Domestically, China Post Express also announced in June 2065438+2008 that it began to pilot a new charging model in some cities: it can keep parcels for users for 24 hours free, and charge 1 yuan /24 hours after overtime.

According to industry insiders, the introduction of "membership system" by express cabinet enterprises can reduce some stranded parts and improve the utilization rate of express cabinets. Therefore, the overtime fee is charged more to urge users to pick up their bags in time and avoid excessive occupation of public resources due to improper personal time arrangement.

According to the "20 19 National Professional Survey of Express Delivery Employees" issued by the State Post Bureau, 65.43% of express delivery boys send less than 150 pieces a day, and 83.4% send less than 200 pieces a day. In recent years, the average number of deliveries per day has not changed significantly. In terms of receiving, more than 80% of courier brothers receive no more than 50 pieces a day. It can be seen that on the one hand, the business volume keeps growing (the average daily express delivery volume in 2065438+2009 reached 65438+700 million orders, up by 25% year-on-year), on the other hand, the efficiency of sending and receiving pieces is slow, and the labor cost keeps increasing. Under this contradiction, the reform of express terminal is extremely important.

Compared with the traditional manual door-to-door delivery, as well as the new modes of express terminal such as crowdsourcing delivery, express service station, intelligent express cabinet storage and unmanned drone delivery, the express cabinet has significantly improved the efficiency of terminal collection and delivery.

At present, crowdsourcing distribution can solve the shortage of manpower in the peak period of express delivery companies, but it is essentially a traditional manual door-to-door distribution, which has not greatly improved efficiency.

On the other hand, for drones and unmanned vehicles, although the shortage of manpower can be effectively solved through technological innovation, its high equipment costs, policies and regulations, and limitations of application scenarios still cannot make express delivery companies effectively apply on a large scale.

Compared with service stations, unmanned 24-hour efficient service is its advantage. At the same time, express cabinets can obtain relevant data streams, develop and apply data and traffic, and bring more possibilities to the express cabinet market.

In addition, cost is still the key driving force for logistics enterprises to develop intelligent express cabinets. The high-density laying of express cabinets means saving the cost of secondary delivery, increasing the degree of intensification, improving the delivery efficiency, becoming a new "entrance" for delivery and providing users with more convenient services. At the same time, with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned vehicles in the future, the solution at the end of intelligent express cabinet is evolving from "people, cabinets+users collaboration" to "people, cabinets, machines, stations+users collaboration".

According to the report "Development Status and Future Direction of Intelligent Express Cabinet" released by the National Engineering Laboratory of Logistics Information Exchange Technology and Application, if the cost of secondary delivery time reduced by express cabinet delivery is accumulated, the efficiency will be improved by at least about 20%, which will mean that the terminal will obtain the following key invisible income:

1) labor cost saving. Under the same work intensity, the terminal network composed of 10 couriers will save the labor cost of two couriers. With the increase of labor costs, future cost savings will be more obvious.

2) For the courier, in order to improve the efficiency, the courier will use 15%( 100 minutes) to send 12- 15 pieces, which means that at the current delivery price of 1.5 yuan, there will be at least/kloc.

At present, despite the pressure of cost and capital, many policies are encouraging the development of express cabinets. In recent years, the government has issued a number of policy documents to directly or indirectly support the promotion of intelligent express cabinets.

Accordingly, it is conservatively estimated that the express delivery volume in China will reach 200 million/day in 2020. That is to say, according to the current number of intelligent express cabinets (about 420,000 in 20 19), even if the daily utilization rate of express cabinets is 100%, the express cabinet service will only account for 20%.

In addition, during the epidemic, Meituan and other platforms have launched services such as "contactless delivery" to encourage consumers to take door-to-door handover, property storage, self-filing, etc. to reduce personal contact.

Contactless distribution has brought about the cultivation of users' habits and the increase of facilities such as intelligent express cabinets. During or after the epidemic, the new express terminal model based on intelligent express cabinet is expected to continue to expand the proportion of "contactless delivery" services.

According to industry insiders, "non-contact urban distribution" is only the beginning, and the real meaning is far from blocking the spread of the epidemic. The purpose of preventing virus from spreading during the epidemic period will be developed into a comprehensive "non-contact urban distribution" with high efficiency, low cost and high safety.

To sum up, as an infrastructure, intelligent express cabinet can't meet the demand of future express delivery in the short term, and it also belongs to a rapidly developing industry. According to the current market development forecast, the demand gap of express cabinets will be nearly 10 million in the next three years, and there is still much room for development in the market.

Essence Securities believes that "with the promotion of policies and capital, the delivery of express cabinets and the express delivery rate will usher in rapid growth. The express delivery rate in 20 19 is only about 10%, and it is expected to reach 30% by 2023. In 2023, the number of express boxes exceeded 2 million sets, and the equipment market scale exceeded 50 billion yuan. "

By March 3, 2020, about178,000 express cabinets had been put into beehive boxes, accounting for about 44%; China Post Express accounts for about 25%, followed by Yungui, Fu You, Cainiao, Jingdong Logistics and other brands, accounting for no more than 10%. In March, the average daily delivery volume of honeycomb boxes was about 1 1.56 million pieces, and the express delivery was about 3.33 million pieces, which was lower than the million pieces of other brands.
