It is a traditional custom in China to stick Spring Festival couplets on New Year's Day. All the year round. Spring Festival couplets are auspicious, so it is necessary to remove the "old" Spring Festival couplets and paste new ones in the coming year, which means to bid farewell to the old and welcome the new, and have a good year. In this whole year, if the Spring Festival couplets are damaged, they need to be repaired in time.

During the holidays. As one of the magic weapons to drive away the Year of the Animal, Spring Festival couplets can be picked after the Year of the Animal. According to different local folk customs, the Lantern Festival on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month counts as the end of the year, and the Year of the Loong on the second day of February counts as the end of the year. With the development of the city, some localities and units, for the sake of city appearance and property management, demand to dismantle Spring Festival couplets during or after the Spring Festival holiday.

Natural shedding theory. The so-called natural falling off means that after the Spring Festival couplets are posted, no one cares, and the Spring Festival couplets are hit by wind and rain and naturally fall off.
