Dongshan City, Guangdong Province is in the center of Guangzhou.

Dongshan District is a former municipal district of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, People's Republic of China (PRC). In May 2005, it was revoked with the approval of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the State Council and merged into Yuexiu District. It is one of the famous old towns (old four districts) in Guangzhou. It used to be said that "rich and powerful people live in Dongshan". Since the reform and opening-up, the east business hotel area around the city, represented by World Trade Center, International Building, Garden Hotel and Holiday Inn, the business area represented by Hai Yin, Hero Square and Nonglinxia Road, and the Ersha Island cultural area with Xinghai Concert Hall, Guangzhou Art Museum and Guangdong Overseas Chinese Museum as the core have risen one after another, and the urban function and taste have been further improved.
