Brief introduction of Heshan community

Heshan Community is located in the east of Suzhou Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, starting from the west of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in the east, north of Jinshanbang River in the south, east of the border of Qiao Feng Town in the west and south of Jinfeng River in the north, with an area of about 0.9 square kilometers. There are three residential quarters (including 1 foreign residential courtyard), namely, Riverside Garden, Heshan Garden and Today's Home, 106 residential buildings and 1 975 apartments, with a total population of more than 8,000 people and more than 60 units. It is a community with residents, enterprises, young people and a high level of education. There are foreigners, Koreans and other ethnic minorities from Japanese, German, Danish, Austrian and Taiwan Province provinces living in the community. The whole community is seriously separated from households, with scattered communities and a large number of migrants.

Heshan Community Neighborhood Committee was formally established on September 28th, 2002. There are 17 residents' groups, including community social security committee, community people's mediation committee, community comprehensive management committee, community five-in-one comprehensive management office, community cultural and sports committee, community party branch, community women's federation, community family planning association, community association for science and technology, and home for overseas Chinese and Taiwan. Community activity teams such as Yangko Team, Boxing Team, Chorus Team, Waist Drum Team, Fashion Team, Dance Team and Calligraphy and Painting Association have been set up, and reading rooms, gymnasiums, table tennis rooms, activity rooms for the elderly, multi-functional activity centers, activity rooms in party member, conference rooms and so on have been set up. The reading room subscribes to 36 magazines and 19 newspapers and periodicals for residents.

Heshan Community has successively won the titles of "Top Ten Mass Cultural Communities in Suzhou" and Learning Community in High-tech Zone.
