Brief introduction of Moon Bay Park

Moon Bay Park is located in the western suburbs of Xiangyang, on the bank of the Han River. It is built on a crescent-shaped river beach, which is nearly 3000 meters long from east to west and covers an area of 1 10 hectares. This is the largest park in our city. The park has beautiful scenery and unique landscape, which not only has modern garden style, but also has pastoral scenery and natural wild interest.

Moon Bay Park was designed and planned by the Institute of Landscape Architecture of the Ministry of Construction, and construction started in 199 1 year. The whole park is divided into eleven functional areas with different styles, such as children's play, sports, wild fun, horse racing and water sports. At present, children's play area, water sports area, riverside sightseeing area, quiet leisure area, racecourse and fishing area have been opened to the public.

In terms of environmental greening, closely following the theme of simplicity, lightness, transparency and smoothness of modern gardens, the park has built a top-grade lawn base with 12 varieties and more than 200 mu of evergreen all year round (becoming a professional lawn production and marketing center in northwest Hubei) and a seedling base with nearly 100 varieties and 150 mu (becoming one of Xiangfan seedling supply centers). The park highlights the characteristics of plant landscaping. Relying on the Hanjiang levee, a 2000-kilometer "green corridor" was built, and a 4000-kilometer green belt around the lake was built along the artificial lake in the park. Cherry Garden, Taoyuan, Meiyuan and Zhuyuan are under preparation and construction. At the same time, in order to cater to the modern people's interest of "returning to nature, returning to nature", the riverside has also built a 30-hectare wild interest tourist area, where pheasants and rabbits haunt from time to time, which is really a good place to enjoy wild interest. There is a "local interesting garden" covering an area of 20 mu. Since its opening, Moon Bay Park has been favored by Chinese and foreign tourists, receiving 200,000-300,000 tourists every year. It is an excellent resort for people to go for an outing in spring, take a summer vacation, watch fruits in autumn and enjoy snow in winter. Moon Bay Park was rated as a municipal civilized unit and a public security model unit.
