Xiangjiang River, the mother river of Hunan children, flows south, gurgles north, crosses Zhaoshan into Changsha City, turns northwest through Sanchaji, reaches Qiaokou Overlooking City, and then enters Dongting via Yueyang. It flows through Changsha city for about 25 kilometers. On both sides of the Xiangjiang River, red cliffs are like clouds, white sands are like snow, weeping willows are like silk, and sails are like clouds, which constitute the beautiful scenery belt along the Yangtze River in Changsha.

Xiangjiang River is one of the important tributaries in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. According to textual research, the word "Xiaoxiang" began in the Han Dynasty. What exactly is "Sanxiang"? There is a saying that the source stream of Hunan is called Li Xiang after it meets Lishui, Xiaoxiang after it meets Xiaoshui in the middle reaches, and steamed Hunan after it meets steamed water in the lower reaches, hence the name "Sanxiang". There is a big stone tablet named "Xiang Li" in Yangshuo Mountain, Guangxi. Hunan water flows to the northeast, and Lishui flows to the northwest. This is the watershed of Li Xiang's water, also known as "Li Xiang". Xiangshui winds into Lingling, Hunan, joins Xiaoshui, which originated in Jiuyi Mountain, and then flows northward. This passage is called "Xiaoxiang". Xiaoxiang II water flows to Hengyang, where it meets with steamed water, which is the downstream of Hunan water and is called steamed Hunan.
