According to the Law on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Noise Pollution and the order of Wuhan Municipal People's Government 137, it is forbidden to carry out construction work that produces environmental noise pollution at night (from 22: 00 to 6: 00 the next day) in the area where noise-sensitive structures is concentrated in the urban area, except for emergency repair, emergency rescue and continuous operation due to production process requirements or special needs.

The Standard for Environmental Noise in Urban Areas of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that the maximum noise limit at night is 45 decibels in areas dominated by residential, cultural and educational institutions, and 50 decibels in residential, commercial and industrial mixed areas. If the communication and coordination of the property management company fails, the owner can also call 12369 to complain to the environmental protection department.

Social life noise

It mainly refers to the noise produced by people in various social activities such as commercial transactions, sports competitions, processions and gatherings, entertainment places, and the noise of various household appliances such as tape recorders, televisions and washing machines. This kind of noise is generally below 80 decibels. For example, the noise of washing machines and sewing machines is 50-80 decibels, the noise of electric fans is 30-65 decibels, and the noise of air conditioners and televisions is 70 decibels.

Engine noise mainly includes combustion noise, mechanical noise, intake and exhaust noise, noise of cooling fans and other components. According to the mechanism of engine surface noise, it can be divided into combustion noise and mechanical noise.
