Jining National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone belongs to rencheng district. Jining High-tech Zone was established in 1992, with an area of 255 square kilometers and a permanent population of 335,000.

Jining High-tech Zone is a national science and technology innovation service system, innovative industrial cluster, strategic emerging industry intellectual property cluster management, and science and technology entrepreneurship incubation chain pilot high-tech zone. It is also a pilot zone for talent management reform in Shandong Province, a big data industrial cluster in Shandong Province, and a pilot zone in technology and finance, Shandong Province.

It was awarded the honorary title of the fifth national-level and the only national-level copyright demonstration park in the province, and became the second1national-level and the fourth high-tech industry standardization demonstration zone in the province.
