Every year, the local people will tear down the existing bridge according to the usual practice, and then weave a new bridge with local Yishu grass. People will celebrate this ancient bridge-building ceremony with traditional songs and dances.

In 2020, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the annual bridge-building ceremony was cancelled, resulting in the collapse of the only remaining Inca Bridge due to disrepair. However, in June, 200212002, the local community residents reunited and connected several communities divided by the Mark River in apli for hundreds of years with a new bridge.
