Autumn colors in Leshan

I like autumn in Leshan. When the season comes to early autumn, even if it is still very hot during the day, there will be a cool breeze at night, and the quilt will be covered inadvertently. The autumn rain is continuous, and people who want to go to the streets and travel far will be anxious. In the Tang Dynasty, Li Shangyin described the continuous rain in Sichuan as "the rain rises in the autumn pool at night". Even so, as long as it is autumn, the temperature in the central Sichuan Basin is very comfortable.

At this time, people who like photography to chase after autumn began to ask each other whether the red leaves in Jiuzhaigou are reflected on the mirror sea. The leaves of Kangding Danba can't wait long, showing a pale red smile; Will the leaves in Emei Mid-levels turn from yellow to red?

In fact, in my opinion, the charming autumn scenery on both sides of the Yangtze River in Sichuan Basin, whether it is Minjiang River or Qingyi River in Dadu River, is nothing more than eight flowers.

Some friends who are not familiar with plant properties can easily call croton reed. At first glance, their shapes are almost identical, and they all grow on the river beach. They are similar to reeds, so people often confuse them. This kind of weed is also called five-section awn, which is also called eight hairs in plant taxonomy and belongs to an evergreen herb.

Speaking of the name eight hairs, I believe many friends in southern Sichuan are familiar with it. Eight hairs are very common in rural areas, which is different from reeds. Reed usually grows by the river or in water, but eight hairs can grow on dry land, even on soil slopes.

China's oldest love poem, "Jian Peijun is pale, and it is frost for thousands of years. The so-called Iraqis are on the water side. " Many words are limited to reed, but according to botanists' research, Bamao and reed belong to the same family and different genera, and Bamao can also grow in swamp areas along the river, belonging to Gramineae. Accordingly, the love song in the Book of Songs can also be referred to by eight hairs.

If there is any difference, reed is hollow, higher than branch grass, and branch grass is cotton core. Leshan folk, like to call it horse pole, often see horse pole on some graves that last for a long time when walking in rural fields. There is a folk saying that there is a horse pole on the grave, or a character often boasts that "there is a horse pole on the ancestral grave."

Ba Mao is a conscientious environmental defender. Its root system is very developed, and it can often be seen up and down the embankment on both sides of the river. Once the eight hairs are connected together, they will firmly grasp the soil or even pebbles under their feet and play a role in sand fixation and soil conservation.

When I was in primary school, there was a long river bank called "Spring Tide" near Guanmiao Central School in Pingqiang Ancient Post Road. In autumn, the river bank and the river bank are full of eight flowers, "flowers in Albert Venn Dicey for a while, leaves sink in several places", which is a beautiful scenery.

Every year at this season, we will bend bamboo pieces, tie the fishing line and tie a bow. Then we go to the river or the seaside to cut eight hair poles to make arrows. Then stand in a row and take the harvested straw as the target to see who shoots the bow and arrow farthest. After the game, each of us will pick up the reusable arrow shaft, carefully wrap it, go home and put it on the bedside, and still shoot arrows in our dreams. What a happy autumn it is.

In southern Sichuan, as soon as the flood passes, autumn approaches the depths. Inadvertently, on the alluvial plains on both sides of the river, especially on the dams in the river that have been flooded, a white flag rises from the grass, and banners between heaven and earth loudly announce that autumn is coming.

Can it be said that autumn scenery in Leshan, southern Sichuan is the flag of eight hairs?

This is a visual feast in autumn. When the autumn colors are getting thicker, the eight-hair flower takes off its coat and begins to turn from blue to white, like a flag, rendering it on the ground. There is a thin layer of oil film on the finely divided surface of Bamaohua, which can ignore the existence of autumn rain. Unlike osmanthus, it will fall into the mud when it meets autumn rain.

When the autumn rain stops and the autumn sunshine is wide, you can enjoy it. On the beach by the river with a wide field of vision, the sunset slowly hangs in the west and the autumn wind blows gently. Flocks of waterfowl with black wings fly to the clear sky at a 45-degree angle from under the blooming white flowers. At this time, your eyes are alive and fragrant, showing the old saying, which is Wang Bo's "The sunset is lonely in Qi Fei, and the autumn waters are the same color." "

This is a vision. Approaching Bamaohua, the prospect in front of us resembles the sentence of Dai Fugu, a poet in the Song Dynasty. "Bai Niao stood on the water and people began to jump into the reeds."

Reed and eight hairs are both favorite themes in Chinese painting. It is said that during the Republic of China, there was a great painter named Wu Chengzhi at Wu Tong Bridge in Leshan. The deer and geese in his works are lifelike, full of fragrance, and the flowers and plants are dripping with ink.

I also like similar themes full of Chinese painting characteristics. I once took a photo of "Su Yan in Lujiang" at an art auction. Coincidentally, the painter's name is Zhang Han (1919–1986), and he is also from Leshan. During the Republic of China, he participated in Beijing Chinese Painting Research Association and Shanghai Jinshi Seal Cutting Society. He was closely related to famous people such as Wu Jingting, Wang Wei and Wang Wei, and served as the chairman of Shaanxi Xianyang Artists Association before his death.

Eight hairs are also a plant with great economic value. Besides papermaking and weaving crafts, its stems also have high medicinal value. The roots of eight hairs can be used as medicine, which is beneficial to stranguria, wind and dehumidification. My mother got acute pyelonephritis when she was a child. According to the doctor of Chinese medicine hospital, it costs nothing to dig some roots of horse poles, wash them and cook them in water. So I came to the middle dam of the river with a hoe. The leaves of grass are as sharp as saws, so be careful when you approach them. After several courses of boiled water, I really cured the disease.
