Is the Louguantai in Xi 'an really the birthplace of Taoist culture?

The Louguantai in Xi 'an is the birthplace of Taoist culture, because the Taoist classic "Tao Te Ching" was written by Lao Tzu in Louguantai that year, and Lao Tzu also built a platform here to teach classics and spread his Taoism to future generations. Therefore, Xi 'an Louguantai is not only the earliest birthplace of Taoist culture, but also the first blessed place of Taoism, with a very high status.

I felt bored, so I rode a green cow and was born to the west through Hangu Pass. At that time, Yin Xi, a doctor of the Western Zhou Dynasty, made an order for Hangu Pass. He has the habit of watching the celestial phenomena at night, so he built a thatched cottage to facilitate him to watch the stars, which is called thatched cottage view. One night, he saw the purple sky floating from the east, and he figured out that a real person would cross the border. Not long after, he met Lao Tzu passing through Hangu Pass, so he invited Lao Tzu into the thatched cottage and treated him with courtesy.

Lou Guantai wrote the Tao Te Ching. In the chat with Laozi, Yin was deeply impressed by Laozi's theory, so he begged Laozi to accept him as an apprentice, hoping that Laozi could leave valuable ideological wealth for the Central Plains before going to the West. Laozi readily agreed, so he lived here for a period of time, wrote down the classic Tao Te Ching, and built a platform in Gaogang next to the Caolouguan to teach people. This platform was later called the Daoist Platform. After these things, Lao Tzu rode a green cow out of Hangu Pass and headed west, but gradually drifted away. Some people say that he went to the ancient western regions to turn Hu into a Buddha, while others say that he later became an immortal in the nearby Daling Mountain, so the final destination of Laozi has become an eternal mystery.

Louguantai Scenic Louguantai National Forest Park is located in zhouzhi county, Shaanxi Province, about 70 kilometers away from xi, and geographically borders the West Qinling Mountains. This is a big tourist attraction, not only with quiet environment and beautiful mountains and rivers, but also with many cultural relics.
