Wiring:

Wiring is also an important part of the computer room. Lines are like blood vessels, which continuously output the services provided by information systems to users' computer terminals. We have seen too many cobwebs of computer room wiring, which has always been a headache for maintenance and troubleshooting. To solve this problem, it is necessary to make a reasonable plan from the beginning of the deployment of the computer room, so that the wiring is reasonable and the label is clear. When making any jumper adjustment, don't destroy the original layout, avoid unreasonable practices such as flying wires, and maintain a clean and orderly wiring environment. In addition, we should be good at using distribution frames, wiring racks, cable ties, labels and other tools, supplemented by necessary drawings and records.

Cabinet:

In terms of cabinets, try to choose cabinets of big brands. Although it looks like a big container with equipment, as the saying goes, horsepower is known from far and near. In the long run, a good cabinet will definitely play an important role. It is suggested that the network equipment (which can also be subdivided into security equipment, routing and switching equipment), wiring system, voice equipment and server of each system be deployed in different cabinets. Then the authority to open the cabinet is assigned to different roles such as network engineer and system engineer, which is convenient for safety management. Special attention should be paid to the rational layout of wiring cabinets, network cabinets and voice system cabinets, because there may be many network cables connected between them. A good layout can make the whole system clear and reasonable and facilitate maintenance and management.

Because many servers are centrally deployed in the cabinet, besides remote login maintenance, a set of KVM (keyboard, video and mouse) needs to be deployed in the cabinet. If there is enough space in the cabinets, you can deploy a KVM in each cabinet. On the contrary, you can choose a KVM with cascading function to connect all the KVM, leaving only one set of monitor and mouse keyboard.

Fire protection and air conditioning:

According to the different grades and safety requirements of the computer room, professional fire fighting equipment such as FM200 (which has certain requirements for the airtightness of the computer room) or carbon dioxide fire extinguishers are arranged inside the computer room. The computer room is a big radiator, and all kinds of equipment radiate heat all the time. In addition, the computer room is a closed space and needs to be equipped with a radiator. Precision air conditioning is generally used in professional computer rooms to accurately control the temperature and humidity of the whole computer room. Of course, you can also choose a more economical common ceiling, wall-mounted or vertical air conditioner. It is worth noting that the ceiling air conditioner must not be installed above the cabinet, because once there is a fault and water leakage, the cabinet below will suffer. Because the air conditioner in the computer room needs to run 24 hours, ordinary air conditioners may not be very competent, especially in hot summer. It is recommended to install multiple redundant air conditioners and then switch jobs in turn.

Environmental monitoring:

For the environment of the whole computer room, in addition to arranging daily patrol inspection, if the budget allows, it is recommended to deploy an additional environmental monitoring system to monitor the working status of the computer room at any time. Specific monitoring items may include temperature, humidity, water immersion detection, smoke induction, power failure induction, UPS status monitoring, air conditioning status monitoring and so on. The alarm mode can be reasonably combined with bell alarm, telephone alarm, email or SMS alarm. In addition to environmental monitoring, we also need to consider the security of the computer room.
