Provisions for installing signal base stations on the roof of residential buildings

Legal analysis: base stations can be installed on the roofs of residents.

When building a base station, the antenna must be higher than the main ray direction of the antenna and within 22 meters of the antenna, and the building must be larger than 1.2 meters. In this case (including installing base station antenna on residents' roofs), the communication base station meets the relevant national standards and will not cause harm to human body and environment.

The location of the base station should first consider the communication environment around the communication base station, comprehensively consider the factors such as base station density, signal, traffic volume and site conditions, and try to avoid strong electromagnetic interference, pulse interference areas and a large number of flammable and explosive products near businesses and warehouses. In addition, the communication base station should be built in a wide field of vision, and there should be no tall buildings around it, which will hinder the signal transmission of the communication base station.

Legal basis: Article 47 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Telecommunication Regulations. Operators of basic telecommunication services may attach telecommunication lines to civil buildings or install small antennas, mobile communication base stations and other public telecommunication facilities, but they shall notify the building owners or users in advance.
