Mao Zedong was worried about Yang Kaihui's safety. He asked people to go down the mountain to inquire, but he got the news that Yang Kaihui had been killed by the enemy by mistake. Hearing this "bad news", Mao Zedong immediately fell into great sorrow.

There is no way to contact Mao Zedong, and Yang Kaihui is worried. She lights a lamp every night and pours her worries and blood and tears into the pen tip. She wrote:

In fact, at that time, except Jinggangshan, many places were under the shadow of white terror, and Kuomintang reactionaries slaughtered * * * producers and workers and peasants in many parts of the country, so it was convenient for Yang Kaihui.

So, Yang Kaihui immediately began to write and wrote this "suicide note". She wrote in the letter:

In this letter to her younger brother, Yang Kaihui wrote down all her feelings, not only expressing her weakness, but also showing her perseverance and courage different from that of ordinary women. She felt death, not afraid of death, but worried about her three children and began to make a final account.

The letter has been written, but it can't be sent. Yang Kaiming died before Yang Kaihui could post the letter.

In the face of extremely dangerous situation, Yang Kaihui can't send and receive letters at will, and the enemy's eyes are always on her. Because of this, Yang Kaihui had to hide this written letter in the cracks of the old house.

Time can easily throw people away, turning cherries into red and bananas into green. As the days passed, Yang Kaihui swallowed her inner pain alone, silently accompanied her mother and took care of her children after work.

1930101October 24th, unfortunately, it happened to Yang Kaihui.

At this time, Yang Kaihui had just returned to Bancang when he was discovered by the enemy spy. The enemy arrested Yang Kaihui, even her children and nanny, and escorted them to Changsha.

In this regard, Yang Kaihui has been prepared, and all the confidential documents of the Party have been burned or transferred in advance. But as a mother, even if she is not afraid of death, watching her children go to jail is undoubtedly a kind of torture.

In the Army Prison Department of Jin Si Bay, an interviewer called Yang Kaihui's name. After understanding the basic situation, the interviewer asked Yang Kaihui, "Why do you want to be a producer of * * *? Do you know you broke the law? "

To this, Yang Kaihui replied: "I didn't break the law, but He Jian did. I swear not to yield, my life has long been neglected, and I will die if I don't succeed. "

After years of revolutionary work, Yang Kaihui has already put life and death at risk, leaving only a sincere heart loyal to the revolutionary cause, just like hers.

In a dark cell, Yang Kaihui taught Mao Anying to read and told him to listen to his father when he grew up.

Yang Kaihui's relatives and friends also visited her in prison. She said to her relatives and friends who came to visit her:

When I asked for new clothes, everyone was silent. Yang Kaihui doesn't like to wear new clothes at ordinary times, so he suddenly made such a request, apparently prepared to sacrifice.

Yang Kaihui is Mao Zedong's wife. In this regard, someone suggested to He Jian, chairman of the Kuomintang provincial government: If Yang Kaihui can surrender, it is better than tens of millions of people.

He made Yang Kaihui a condition: as long as he agreed to declare his separation from Mao Zedong, he would be free.

Even if again strong, the child is also the mother's weakness, Yang Kaihui turned around, brimming with tears, tightly holding the small shore in her arms, stroking the child's head, softly comforted and said:

Little An Ying held her mother in her arms until several gangsters knocked him unconscious.

In this way, Yang Kaihui died heroically in the literacy ridge outside Liuyang. Before leaving, she also said, "After I die, don't be a layman." At this time, she was only 29 years old. ...

After Yang Kaihui died, his wife Zheng Jiajuan came to Literacy Ridge and found her body in a piece of weeds. Her eyes were closed, her face was calm, her hands were clenched, and loess was stuffed under her nails.

Seeing this, Zheng Jiajuan couldn't help crying. After wiping Yang Kaihui clean with tears, she put on her own clothes, shoes and socks, buried her body, and buried her in a cotton mountain surrounded by pine trees according to her last wishes.

More than a month later, the bad news of Yang Kaihui's death reached Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong didn't speak, tears flowed down instantly like spring water. He wrote a letter to Yang Kaihui's family, in which he wrote: After Kaihui's death, a hundred corpses cannot be redeemed.

Later, Mao Zedong sent 30 silver dollars to erect a monument to Yang Kaihui's tomb. The tombstone was erected in the name of the three sons, and it was inscribed with the words: Mau Mu Yang Kaihui's tomb was carved on the public bank by people from Britain, Qing and dragon three, and was erected in the winter of the 19th year of the Republic of China.

1950, Mao returned to Changsha countryside before going to North Korea, where he visited his mother's grave and his grandmother Xiang Zhenxi.

In this regard, Huang Kecheng, then secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, called Changsha County Committee to inquire about the present situation of Yang Kaihui Martyrs' Tomb.

After some investigation, the county party committee reported the present situation of Yang Kaihui cemetery to the provincial party committee, and asked whether it should be properly trimmed.

In this regard, the provincial party Committee replied: This matter needs to be referred to the Central Committee and Chairman Mao himself.

Soon after, the Changsha County Party Committee got a reply from the General Office of the Provincial Party Committee: with the approval of Chairman Mao, the tomb of the Yang Kaihui Martyrs was repaired, and the cost was less than 800,000 yuan (note: 1 10,000 yuan at that time was equivalent to the later 1 yuan).

Later, after on-the-spot investigation and intense construction, before Mao arrived, Yang Kaihui's cemetery was renovated, and Mao held a simple and solemn memorial service in front of his mother's grave, which became his last farewell to her.

1957, 27 years after Yang Kaihui's sacrifice, Mao Zedong received a letter from Li Shuyi, which she wrote in Liu Zhixun to commemorate the martyrs. Later, Mao Zedong also wrote a song "Answer Li Shuyi", the lyrics are:

Li Shuyi, an old friend of Yang Kaihui, wrote the poem "Answer" above with deep affection, and compared Yang Kaihui to "arrogant Yang" in his words.

When Mao returned, he said to his father when referring to his mother Yang Kaihui:

Later, when Mao Zedong met Yang Kaihui's cousin, he said with deep affection, "Your Xia Jie (Yang Kaihui) died beside the children, which is very rare."

1962, Yang Kaihui's mother died in Zhenxi. Mao Zedong sent her to 500 yuan and wrote a letter to Yang Kaihui's brother Yang Kaizhi: Mrs. Yang's funeral can be shared with Comrade Yang Kaihui and my dear wife.

1982 In March, Changsha County People's Government repaired Yang Kaihui's former residence and made an amazing discovery.

In Yang Kaihui Bancang Yang's former residence, people found the manuscript written by her before her death in the back wall of her bedroom, in the gap of mud brick about two meters from the ground. Among these manuscripts are autobiographies, wills and letters from home.
