In the first year of the founding of the People's Republic of China (9 years), Wang Mang was renamed Youxi County. In the first year of Jianwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25 years), it was renamed Wuxi County. During the Three Kingdoms period, Wuxi County was divided into wasteland to the west, and the farmer in Piling Hall was appointed as a captain (now Changzhou).

Zhenyuan year (1295), Wuxi was promoted to a state, belonging to Changzhou Road, Zhongshu Province, Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province. In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), it merged with Jin County and was renamed Wuxi County, which was under the jurisdiction of Suchang Road. In the thirty-eighth year of the Republic of China (1949), Wuxi was liberated on April 23, and it was divided into Wuxi City and Wuxi County, both of which were in the same city.
