Red Eco-cultural Tourist Area (Hong Yegu) is located 3km south of Jinxiu Chuan Reservoir in Zhonggong Town, Licheng District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, 33km away from downtown Jinan, close to Jinxiu Chuan exit of expressway, connected with Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway and directly connected with provincial highway 3 17. The scenic spot covers an area of more than 4,000 mu.

There are many kinds of plants in Hongguye Eco-cultural Tourist Area, including Huang Zhen, Hongfeng, Wisteria, etc. There are more than 400 species, about one million plants. It is a suburban scenic tourist area with ecological culture as the mainstay.

The Red Eco-cultural Tourism Zone consists of ten academy parks, such as Lily Garden, Cherry Garden, Rose Garden, Xuanqiu Lake, Tianqu Garden, Xingjiao Temple, Meiyuan Garden, Shambala Leisure Valley, European Style Valley and Lover Valley, which are mutually hidden and natural. Castle Peak, Xiushui, Lingquan and Valley are called "Jiuzhaigou in the North of the Yangtze River".

In August, 2003, Hong Eco-cultural Tourist Area won the title of National Tourist Area.
