Article 5.2.5 of Residential Building Code stipulates that elevators should be installed in houses with 7 floors or above.

If the top floor is a set of two floors in a duplex apartment, the jump floor is not included in the calculation of floors. In addition to this provision, it is also stipulated that elevators should be set up if the height of the entrance of the highest-rise household exceeds 16m. If the building is on the twelfth floor or above, there should be at least two elevators.

Matters needing attention
