What is a prepaid electricity meter?

Prepaid electric meter is a smart electric meter which uses magnetic card as the data transmission medium of electric energy value, and adds functional modules such as load control part to the electric meter, so as to realize electricity meter reading and settlement.

Users should hold the IC card to the power supply management department to recharge, and then insert the recharged IC card into the electric energy meter to connect the normal power supply. The electricity bill will decrease with the increase of electricity consumption. When the electricity fee reaches the set minimum value, a prompt will be issued to remind users to recharge. When the electricity fee is zero, it will automatically cut off power, and users need to charge to supply power normally. There is no need for manual meter reading, and electricity is used after payment, which solves the problem of arrears and difficult charging for the power supply department and facilitates the modern management of the power supply department.
